I've had to repledge and now I'm collecting them, trading all ship materials and/or selling the leg ones I can't hold anymore.care package bug, people still can’t collect their care packages or is it feature complete?
It's too much of a pain to do that, at least for me. I've resigned myself to no longer having access to care packages, as I'm not going to waste time running to the bartenders and mat traders all the time.I've had to repledge and now I'm collecting them, trading all ship materials and/or selling the leg ones I can't hold anymore.
In get the impression that now they're going to adjust the escape pods and rares on Wednesday, I get the impression that they're going to consider powerplay complete. I'm enjoying 90% of powerplay 2 but it still feels a bit toothless to me.Escape pods and rares? or is it feature complete and we have moved on to the next feature?

This is the first in a number of planned changes which are intended encourage and reward offensive actions within Powerplay. We will continue to monitor feedback and impact and adjust accordingly.
Powerplay system Local Ethos activities are now server driven, allowing for more dynamic changes
I think FD still want to tweak PP2, they said as much themselves in the recent notes. What the problem for them is they do need to ensure enough dynamism (and prevent gardening). They also need to make stronghold systems with carriers the actual killzones they set out to be- brutal but rewarding for kill hungry pilots so you can't farm SLFs like before. In get the impression that now they're going to adjust the escape pods and rares on Wednesday, I get the impression that they're going to consider powerplay complete. I still feel that the Powerplay police needs to come back as was envisioned. However, in order to allow players to do other things when not power playing (i.e. doing colonisation cargo runs through hostile powers), when a player is docked, allow them to leave a power but not lose their progress. Once they've finished their 'other things' then they can rejoin at the same rank and carry on powerplaying. The player only lose their powerplay progress if they leave one power for another.
It's my only gripe with PPv2, although I do worry that Colonisation is expanding the bubble in such a way, that it's an advantage to the big three powers and the others are being left behind.
Yeah, no more new mechanics, just tweeking the numbers to balance the gameplay."Feature complete"?![]()
That's pretty much why I wanted a pause pledge function for doing the other things! However, until FD remove the downright weird drop anywhere > PP NPC wing pops up they can't universally up the difficulty, as it was this that scared the streamers most likely. Its here where FD need to twiddle the dials.
FD should just remove the spawn chance (because its silly) and rely more on USS / POI / Nav / SC traffic which is far more representative, and then ratchet up the threat the more merits you move each week (so powers target the most active 'aces').That's pretty much why I wanted a pause pledge function for doing the other things!
Seeing a larger number and variety of Power signals would be very welcome. Some 80% of spawns that I see are "Wreckage", and majority of those are Threat 2 or 3. More Power convoys and especially Weapons Fire signals at higher Threats and tougher* NPC-s would be very welcome!
*Tougher as in having interesting engineered weapons and actual combat ships like FDL-s, PII-s, Vultures, Alliance C-ships/Federal Brickships--not inflated hitpoints. IMO, they're fine for their durability now (most seem to have MRP-s and HRP-s, many have Prismatic shields), but they lack in the weapons department; just the same old beams, MC-s, rails and PA-s with no special effects like Phasing or Corrosive.
Either way much more powerplay POIs (besides some times these are scattered at thousants ls and hence some SC travel is needed) or the fix for spawns where at least 1-3 wings of decent enemy powerplay SHIPs are spawned. Avoiding to have drops with only own powerplay ships (it happens quite frequently) or where ships belonging to other powers (which are netting much less merits) appear.FD should just remove the spawn chance (because its silly) and rely more on USS / POI / Nav / SC traffic which is far more representative, and then ratchet up the threat the more merits you move each week (so powers target the most active 'aces').
Heh - talk about powerplay without talking about playstyles challenge (impossible)I noticed that power play is still under the Playstyles Subforum in the Features of Elite Forums.
Surely at this point, powerplay should get its own sub Forum (Like Colonisation has). It's a lot more Popular than PPv1.
