How do you keep track of materials for colonisation?

I made a macro based tracker in MS Excel that automatically pulls the actual requirements from the player's journal files (deliveries, purchases etc) to deduce the build status and what's been purchased (in cargo/transit) to the build site. Anyone with Excel is welcome to try it out (DM me to keep in touch with the latest version):

Mostly hieroglyphics and beer……the hieroglyphics don’t mean much without the beer to be honest…..especially when starting an Orbis ……steel……steel…..steel and getting others to bring me steel for 15k profit per unit to my carrier in HIP 98967.

Isn't 15K profit the lower-end of the standard rate.... how's that attracting anyone to haul for you vs. all the other hauling opportunities out there, even those offering more?

How much profit per unit would you haul for?

Personally, I wouldn't as I'm not trying to haul for money. But if there was only a set amount of players willing to haul, and the profit consideration was the deciding factor for if they would haul for me vs. 15K... I'd offer them 20K or 30K or more.... as the time saved is more important to me to hire the help. So it's about luring a hauler from someone else, which I'd pay them more for.

From what I've seen, the standard profit margins for hauling (looking into PTN forums for example) is about 15K, but I've seen upwards of 25K, granted this is more rare). But if someone is really desperately, pay them 30K-50K. Heck, paying 50M per 700t+ trip is still worth it if time is of the essence, as hauling for bigger builds is an annoyance.
