Mamba buffs?

Have you tried High Capacity? At the very least it gives flexibility. There are situations where you don’t necessarily want two shots to come out. There are also situations where you want to control the interval between shots, which you can’t with Double Shot.
Well, if you mean PvP, I can't think of a situation where I would not wish to unload the full clip on the face of my opponent.

If you mean PvE...well, no big deal, it'd be fine with any kind of weapons TBH.

One shot of Overcharged is 175% damage. Two shots of High Capacity is 200% damage. You can do the math for the full clip, but the point remains that there’s no actual sacrifice of DPS when looked at over time. What you gain is sustainability and flexibility.

Most of us can click pretty fast, even faster than what Double Shot can provide. High Capacity also gives you 360 shots.

Not everyone is swimming with mats, and if you’re under fire then synthing isn’t a thing.

I’m just saying it’s not so easily dismissed as an option.
I am all for double shot, which is what I use on 4x frags + screening shell.
Now, make them incendiary and you can sear Kumo burgers on your dashboard due to the increase of heat, times two.

I say it again: double shot for the +17% burst dmg, with LOTS of cons.

I can't wait to hear what you think of it :D
One word: EXCELLENT. :D

Even small targets, which used to be quite a bother with the Pacifiers, just vanish. Use the rails to crack shields, get within spitting distance, POOF. Smear on the windshield. Less time needed to line targets up just so.

Big targets take a wee bit longer to take the shields down, but once they are done, it's buh-bye. Chaff doesn't do all that much, 'cause at knife-fighting range...

My P Mk II, named, "Double-Ought," serves me even better now... Thank you. :)

+1 for the chaff at close range.
Anyway, in PvP it's rare to see anybody using that in their build like it was 8-10 years ago before the engineers were introduced.

Okay, I have fiddled around a lot with my PII, and I have replaced both railguns with gimballed frags (G5 overcharged/incendiary). (Aashenfox had suggested that as an alternative -- I am not THAT bad with rails, but I'm not that good, either...)

Much better for me. That way, I was able to drop the power plant from G4 overcharged to G3 overcharged, and given the much lower base heat of frags vs rails, there are no heat spikes at all. I can delete deadly FDLs with 2-3 magazines' worth, depending on how close I get.

It's the first combat ship with a completely gimballed loadout for a very, very long time, but it's really worth it.

Shoutout to Aashenfox! Your input was invaluable. Thank you. :)

P.S. I think it's obvious myself, that these will have 12 in the mag (for 6 shot burst) and we will be able to apply specials to them. Anything else would be simply wrong, and not worth having.
Looks like we're getting a clip of 8 i.e. 4 shot bursts instead of the regular 3. Apart from a little bit of extra ammo the stats don't really look much different from a regular frag with double shot + screening shell.

(Probably most people will still love them because they're previously unaware of the benefits of screening shell...)

Oof, really? How disappointing.

Maybe the extra approx 50% I guess, damage per burst compared to overcharged will finally make the inconveniences worth it.
