Interdiction now near impossible to evade?

As soon as the interdiction starts I throttle to about 50% power, align with the escape vector then go full power. As soon as the vector moves off I go back to 50% and repeat.

Uh, your pitch speeds don't change whatsoever when you're being interdicted. I know this for a fact. Whatever your supercruise pitch speed is when you're tethered, that's what you're locked into for the duration of the minigame. I'm sorry for being blunt here, but any perceived change in pitch speed while being interdicted is just in your head. I mean just look at your absolute speed while this is happening. Aside from a minor fluctuation in speed, it doesn't change. Your throttle does nothing whatsoever except for zero throttle equalling submission. Wanna test this yourself? Get yourself interdicted while you're going minimum supercruise speed. Your pitch speed will be awful, and nothing you do with your throttle will change that.

Yeah I was about to ask if it did anything because my throttle does nothing.

Others have mentioned that, and I don't mind that at all. However, when you have your ship pointed directly at the escape vector, having your bars remain static or decreasing is simply unacceptable. There are other, easier ways to make it more difficult, but that is simply . Make bars drop faster when you're not aligned, or make them increase more slowly when you are, or both. But as it is now is just stupid.

I thought it was the class of the npc disruptor, because I got these every now and then gamma.

I had 3 interdict attempts while Cobra-ing about today - two were as easy as always, and the third was surprisingly very difficult. I still prevailed, but it was fun to actually have a challenge in this mini-game for once. I assumed that NPC had a better tether.

I've given up trying to evade so just; Throttle down, submit, no hull damage, kill warrant scan, kill = CR :)

Was testing out a pair of frag cannons and on my first outing got interdicted by a federal dropship - I think he regretted that :)

I feel it's about right, free credits too. Yeah, fish me out of supercruise and let me deploy my fangs!

I can avoid pretty much any interdiction unless I get one where I'm obviously winning then suddenly the escape vector jumps outside of my viewing angle, then it's a struggle to get back to it and sometimes I lose out. Then I get really annoyed. If the interdictor appears to be an easy target then I do submit and give them what they deserve - just wish the hud gave you better info on the guilty party when in SC.

It seems very hard, if not impossible to avoid interdiction now. Yesterday I was hit twice, the first time gave 1-2 seconds before automatically submitting me -- it went to fast I could not react. The second one was over in a a few seconds, with my vector solidly on the blue area, the blue bar twice the length of the red one and rising. Again, it lasted only a few seconds. In the past interdictions gave me more time to boost the blue bar before the submit. Very odd.

Last 7 interdictions, evaded 6, had to submit to 1. And I am anything but a good player and I fly a Lakon Type 6.

If you keep being submitted to interdiction, train. Its very easy.

I usually manage to evade interdictions and have noticed any changes in difficulty. Last night while I was following Kate Russell around while she was streaming, I was interdicted 3 times in the space of about 5-10 minutes and escaped all three. I'm not a brilliant fighter, so I always run from interdictions. I use TM Warthog and Saitek Pro Pedals, and have 'Flight Assist Off' mapped to a button on my joystick in Hold mode. I think holding the FA off whilst evading may be helping me to stay locked on the escape vector.

I think it's an equipment thing, unless the animation is real jumpy. They definitely aren't tweaking things because I've had completely unbeatable interdictions in the past that lasted minutes, but today the ones I encountered were in poor backwaters and I beat them all almost instantly. It could be relative to the system in or it could be random how often you get them. I also can't recall getting one since I cleared my save and I always had a pretty large bounty before.

I avoided the last couple. In a few cases I managed to escape even though the vector was way off screen. I guess I held on to the vector long enough to stop his red bar from filling as it appeared I was at near right angles to it when I got away.

What doesn't make much sense is why a sidewinder with no shields interdicts my cobra. It takes literally 3 seconds to kill him with 2x beam lazers. How has this NPC even survived long enough to afford an interdiction device? :/

Got interdicted last night, it was the first time I've ever struggled to evade but I did manage to get away in the end.

Perhaps some of the npc's have been given better kit?

Hi All

I have only had 1 interdiction since 1.00 release - probably 20+ hours in game, I submitted and it lost me! - I am going USS to USS - having fun - but no interdictions yet - I thought they had been switched off or reduced as part of Day1 release. I hope to get some soon.
