Thanks. I still doubt KOI and Kepler are the same. Otherwise, why would Michael have mentioned:
- Updated exoplanets Kepler 438 b and 442 b
and not KOI instead?
Fact is, our galaxy map contains both systems (Kepler and KOI) so this alone suggests that both can't be the same and shouldn't be confused with each other. Also, I checked the distance of both KOI systems to my current place (I'm 138 LY away from SOL). KOI 442 is 2.759 LY away from me while the 'real' Kepler 442 b is 1100 LY from Sol. KOI 438 is 2.766 LY way from me while Kepler 438 is 'only' 470 LY away from SOL.
So if your theory is correct, this would be at least highly inconsistent to the real planets, both in terms and distance. I would wait until Michael comes up with some clarifying words.
p.s. sorry if I missed something about the matter between pages 20 and 30 cause I had to leave my house for a while and don't want to read through all 10 pages full of extolment.
It's KOI. Check the explorer thread, someone has already visited it and found an Earth-like world. Michael clarified in a different thread, search the forums perhaps as I don't have it right here now.
I bought the game on pre order, played the demo with no problems, downloaded the full game on the day of release to find technical issues preventing me from playing. Opened a ticket, read some forums, tried trouble shooting and waited patiently over Christmas. Just installed the latest update and still finding the same difficulties are preventing me from playing the game, still no response from tech support. This is a very frustrating experience. I would like some help from ED technical support or for somebody to assist me in getting a refund please.
That's not a bug. If someone is pirating they're not always wanted in the current system and even if they are they still need a scan. Same goes for npcs.
Might be you know what he wants, but until you verified he is wanted or until he attacks you you shouldn't have any right to legitimately shoot him. Self-defense without actually being attacked is not self-defense at all. If, on the other hand, he already attacked you but the scanner hasn't finished scanning the target, you should definitely be allowed to shoot back.
2 days to download game , advertised features not included. Played for a week and get and update that refuses to download. Followed all the directions from support still can't download. Even if the "validation error" problem is fixed it will be another 2 day download.
Don't get me wrong - I love the game when I can play it even if it is a step backwards from Frontier:EliteII (best game ever).

I suggest we let them fix the cracks in the game's core mechanics before demanding new features.
Great work, FD! But you really need some staff to exclusively monitor the forums and respond to any questions asked asap. Lack of transparency in communication with the community has cost you a hoard of sympathy points already. Time to step up the PR. Good work alone will not do the trick.

couple of experiences in 2 hours - encountered a LOT more players than ever before - nice.
not so much... got interdicted and couldn't get out of it - escape or submit, had to save and quit after several mins just floating about, lost some bounties. thats never happened before..
and, after intedicting a felon and having a scrap for 10 mins, they spontaneously disappeared - no frame shift charge or escape, they just disappeared after a few secs of rapidly teleporting about on the scanner - I assume this isn't some new cloaking device..? maybe it is?!
Still, thx for the update, your game amazes me daily.

Finally fix for boughty hunters now all the people saying "It's your fault" can stop
The main bounty hunting bug that's annoying me is still there, i.e. blue flash notification of reward that doesn't materialise in transactions to cash in when working with a friend. only seemed to happen when taking down very high value anacondas but still annoying all the same. (took time to video it this time, might upload it and ticket it AGAIN...)
