Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

No we are constantly loosing. Yesterday at around 3 pm we were at 66.7 %, when i logged out tonight between 1 and 2 pm it was at 66.5 % and now we are down to 65.8 % with geting LFE influence all the time again.
Only LDF lost 0.1 % since yesterday afternoom.

And if it is showing 66 % in your cockpit tab it might be rounded up.

The only major change since yesterday was Galnet. This makes me suspect others are playing hero for the Federation. But it would take a lot of players. We have no way of knowing. All we can do is go back to doing what we were all doing before yesterday and go at it hammer and thongs!

Yes you might be right but actually I was wrong yesterday when I said Adamson had no commodity market. It actually does! I don't know who was trading out of there though or how much was done. I am going to put in some serious work tonight. Can we get an update anyone?

Just postet the current stats before.

Crimson State Group 65.8%
Lugh for Equality 31.8%
Dominion of Lugh 0.3%
Lugh Defence Force 1.7%
Silver Natural 0.3%

When Michael mentioned about the civil war even that we never saw, I was wondering if that was connected to our loss of influence. What if you "spend" influence on getting a beneficial state? Or possibly having a beneficial state costs you influence over time? Hi probability that I'm completely wrong, but interesting that just as the boom has come online we've lost influence at a similar rate to that we were seeing in the middle of December (Influence Graph).

Don't lose heart guys. One thing I have learned from all of this is that people are fickle. There were many players who walked away when we took a knock but they quickly start helping again when they see we are doing well. But don't get me wrong, they are most welcome back! Those of us who stuck with it have seen this before. It may just be a blip. Who knows, it could just be the Tuesday blues that players had been working so hard and seen we were doing so well decided to take a day off? Just go back at it and do whatever you were doing since Christmas. We were getting a steady rise so we were doing it right.

Victory for Lugh of the Long Hand!

(just doesn't have the same ring to it as Lugh Lámhfhada abú does it? :) )

Yes and we got many new players for sure even helping us but they just might wont post here all in our thread. You really have to update your first post in this thread and highlight the most important things they shouldnt do ( more important ) and should do in an other colour cause most of the new players wont read through the last 10-15 pages of this thread. Most of all just look on the first page.
There are also some Federation groups out there they might have come or will come to lugh now so wee need the help of all who can now. Maybe roybe can conctact his special friends to come over here to lugh with their big ships. I think they wont have anything against Federation :)
Overall i would say push Cavendish or Hartsfield now also in case of the travel time to this stations like _Flin_ mentioned (good point in my eyes) ? Also everyone with bigger ships like Type 6 upwards should trade high demand and suplies at Knight Dock and collect and deliver weapon and food mission by the way there (i think we can hold our economy steady that way).
As for me i will stay now at Knight Dock and work me up to Type 7 (2-3 days) and then try to get the long way to a Python.

OOC: It's times like these that reading this thread becomes agonizing. I'm finishing up my cardio right now, and then there's the long, long wait through work and the ride home.

IC: Still no word from my master about taking a more active role in this struggle. I've retrieved my old Sidewinder, with the idea of practicing my rusty combat skills on some of the local LFE criminal scum, before I risk a more expensive ship in actual combat missions. With the struggle in Lugh having made Galnet, she MUST respond to my requests. Once I've gotten the word "GO," it'll be weapons free at last!

This was also my therory that we lost influence because of the civil war that we never saw.

Civil war – this state indicates internal civil war without an external named entity (note that civil war with named entities is simply a war)

  • Has a negative effect on Standard of Living, Security and Wealth
  • Development level is frozen while in civil war.

The most telling stat there is all the Cobras. Sound like would be heroes to me...

Who are those Type 9's and Anacondas?

Who do you believe more!? Democracy leader, or intergalaxy corporations? Ask yourself. Politics or creators?
There is a tale. In old-old times before first human step on other planets corporations made a necessary for this step progress, not politics.
IBM, Apple, Google made necessary progress in electronics and programming, and finally SpaceX made a first road to Mars.
Think about it. Who did more for the people? Who find better use of resources? Who do you believe more?...

But we had the Balandin civil war over Christmas! Not yesterday... We are not in a civil war now are we?

So are you trying to say that there was a war going on but the system never told us and that it was only after we started getting a rise again that we noticed the station had flipped? That was the reason we seen a drop in influence?

Well then if you are right and development slows during a civil war period then we would have to be in a civil war now (again) and the system would have to be not showing that status (again). If all of this were true then we would be on the cusp of flipping another station. That might also explain why FD actually put it up on Galnet if they thought it was likely to happen...

there are a lot of 'if's' there though...

Guys, get onto anyone on your friends list and ask them to get over here to Lugh and start helping. We need every hand on deck.

Remember that a large number of the new visitors to Lugh probably aren't aware of this thread. They may be coming in to help our cause but mistakenly trading at the LFE markets thinking they're helping our cause somehow.

There will of course be federation sympathisers amongst them. I think we should spread out across Lugh and run missions and trade as we have done. Eventually another Civil War will break out and a station will hopefully flip.

But the things we know (because they've been stated by Michael) are:
1. Influence is not station based (therefore we don't all need to be working from the same station)
2. When influence (and other factors) reach a certain point, a civil war will trigger and, depending on who's involved and who wins, a station might flip ownership

It seems to me that we need to return to what we doing (succesfully) a day or two ago and keep at it. It will be harder to make progress because of the other commanders in local space who are probably trading at the federation stations (either knowingly or unwittingly) but we can do this if we persevere.

Apart from anything else, this is all part of the big "test" that underpins this effort - the devs are almost certainly getting great telemetry and other feedback from our fight.

keep up the good work - and see you in Lugh!

Remember, it's for The Children!

EDIT: as a thought, it might be worth those of you who are happy intercepting players in game, interdicting new commanders and asking them who they fight for? Would be a good oportunity to point them in the direction of what they should be doing while keeping the immersion. I would, but my combat skills suck so I'll probably end up floating past Hartsfield Market sans-ship...

Everything has its pro and cons it only needs to be balanced (like wealth). The problem are the rulers and leaders (doesnt matter where. Politics, religion, etc) who are using their might against others, to suppress and get even more might for the "evil".
In my eyes we dont need leaders, poeple can progress without them and organize themself in a good way as far as they dont get manipulated in a bad way.

We flipped Baladin around the 27th December. If you look at the graph, we gained some influence back after that (around the 28-29th I guess)
I remember we had a civil war critical in the pending states.
I don't really know what pending states message means... and it's a key point for our understanding ^^

I believe in the group entity. I believe in group support structure. I believe in collective politics. I believe in figureheads with no power over law or the people. Figureheads exist only at the whim of the people and only to serve because they are the best person for the job and should be awarded according to their actions. Figure heads by appointment should be awarded generously for their efforts for the good of all. With that comes great responsibility to the arts, administartion and societal development. Figureheads should rank in respect to kingly status but punished severely should they abuse that power. Legal punishment is reletive to status. A poor man commiting wrong against the entitled should rank less that the wealthy abusing the poor. Since all rank flows from the people rank can be easily stripped and leaders replaced. Leadership is not entitled. It is earned only by popular opinion.

That is what I believe.

Yes, that is a clincher. It may be pending because we are still in a cooldown period since the last war. In other words, it is pending because it is waiting in the wings. Other states need to run their course before it kicks in?

It might also mean that we have almost filled the criteria required to set off a civil war. Then civil war critical may be just before it is about to happen (as has been mentioned before by many people on this thread).

We do not know for sure. But I agree that we should all go back to doing what we were doing before last night. The Adamson experiment was just that - a suggested experiment and it has not provided any success. The exact reason for the drop could be speculated all day but I think everyone has voiced their opinion we should return to what we were doing before so lets do that.

That sounds like something I could do… Even if they blow me to pieces my eagle is cheap and has a great escape pod… ;)

If (again :) ) we got really a non showing up civil war again i think we will see it in the Mission Summaries again. Red pointers instead of Blue ones etc. Saw some changes with similiar missions i made days ago with different results yesterday.
