It's not missing; it's just spelled differently.

That long named file is your original system_data.txt. If you find you don't like the results after running the script, just delete the current system_data.txt and rename that file to system_data.txt and it'll be like the script was never run. This ensures you'll never be in danger of losing all your hard work.

bumping my previous queries:

I'm currently debating whether to try incorporating EliteOCR and Cmdr's Log since I manually check each OCR'ed line, might as well be quicker inputting the data myself! Which leads me to ask.... entering data, which price do I enter? The "Sell" price (how much I get if I sell to station) or the "Buy" price (how much I pay to buy FROM station)?? Also, is the Quantity based on the Demand column or the Supply column?

Since I'm only entering one price, how does this program actually work? If I enter Hydrogen Fuel at 89 Cr. Sell price at Station A, how will it calculate profit once I am in Station B and I see Hydrogen Fuel Buy price at 85 Cr. (profit of 4 Cr. per unit) since it does not know the "Buy" price at Station B??

Once the supply/demand are set the program can take it from there - if Station A is set to "Med Supply" and Station B is set to "Low Demand", it's easy to work out which way the hydrogen should go.

Where there is only one price, enter that. Where there are two, enter the one on the right.

in V1.x, there was also Illegal = 7, I believe, but that's since been moved to it's own attribute so a value of 7 is unused now.

Wow. Been alot of activity on this thread lately... and none of it for me! Woohoo!!

Glad to see the EliteOCR people are at least getting a foothold through those fancy scripts. Looks like issues are getting ironed out, etc. Good stuff.

I've been on kind of a hiatus lately. Lots to do; I have a new daughter that is likely going to be born in mid-February, so I have furniture to build and room set up and house to organize... I've barely touched the PC this weekend. Seems like Cmdr's Log is at least in a stable enough position to "hold here" for awhile. I'll continue working on stuff, but slowly as I have time..... and I still haven't managed to play the game :/

Just checking in... yeah I'm still here

I havent posted in a while...

I just wanted to say wow Commanders Log is pretty freaking awesome now...

Time for you to go and play for a bit, I dont see how it can work any better than it does now...

Saying that Round Trip doesn't calculate for me, but thats no bother. The only upgrade I can see it to be able to select multiple stations/systems to make a multiple trip best cargo to from x to y, and then from y to z, and then z to x. But thats really just the icing on the cake...

Sorry to ask, it must have been answered already, but can I install the new version on top of an old one and not lose my data, or should i save the data first ? if yes how ?

Just copy the files into the new versions folder/directory and you should be fine

OK it's Monday and I am at work so feeling very thick! How do you use the log when in game? I have to log out of the game to update the log manually or am I doing something wrong? Is there a way I can view the log without logging out of the game?

Set the video settings to 'borderless' and then you can alt tab it on top. Files update themselves, no saving required

I play borderless and just ALT-TAB to it. Click the 'Top' button and it stays on top when you ALT-TAB back to the game. Very handy and very easy.
