Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

My opinion (only) is that it probably should be easier to influence systems with tiny populations compared to those with larger populations. Just as it is easier IRL to sway opinions in a village than it is in a town or city. I would not though expect it to be massively high priority or claim it is trivial to change the simulation in this way, but it does make solid sense to me.

That's kind of factored in which the system's internal numbers which are used.

Maybe people (and traders) panic in a system if there is an increase in piracy in their neighbour system no matter which trader belongs to what faction you killed.

Imagine if there where personal transporters ingame yet from system to system then i would also panic as traveler in a transport ship :)

Btw: We had already an impact in LTT 4846. Inlfuence of PPOLTT4846 down to 73% (-2%) with red pointer down.

Yea. And one of KILL PIRATES mission alternate finisher is also fun.
NPC is asking to not kill INNOCENT people and start a new life!

i got a mission to liberate slaves. i was offered an alternate delivery point on my way to get them from a station that sells them in Jiuyou, but when i arrived back at the original delivery point in Lugh, i cant turn them in. they arent stolen, dont need to be, and theyre the right kind of slaves. bug?

I'm pretty certain Carey Dock is in LTT 4686 - I might be wrong. I'm pretty sure that the black market in Sesuang is based in Sellers Terminal.

Sounds like a faulty mission branch - probably a bug.

Proof of a system takeover:
The system is Orishis and as you can see the Alliance control the only station in the system.
The government type of the dominant alliance faction being "anarchy" is slightly confusing but the allegiance info is what's important.

Are you pointing to the discrepancy between the galaxy and system maps that demonstrates that there has been a change? Might be being thick, sorry! Strange that I don't see any other mention of the system on the forums, so no player involvement?

Hi everyone,

update 1.06 is incoming at 11am GMT. Everyone will be taken off the servers at this time while the update is applied. We should be live again within 30 minutes, so 11.30am GMT. Here's the client and server change log:

Client Changes

- Make sure that station doors do not kill players in stations
- Stability fix for memory allocation on textures
- Prevent recycling of the mission list so the same mission cannot be taken over and over again
- Fix for matchmaking in private groups
- Add more telemetry to continue investigation on why some resourses don't load on some machines
- Add more telemetry for player collisions
- Some mission text fixes

Server Changes

- Memory optimisations for scenario handling
- Improvements to space station news generated from background simulation events
- No longer treat commodities as prohibited in the system map or on trade route data for space stations that have temporarily declared them legal
- Fix a bug that sometimes prevented a starsystem's government type and major faction allegiance changing
- System change queues no longer stall

Thanks!

Michael

Ooh, ooh, see items 2 and especially 4 and 5 in the Server changes!
