I release an update (V1.07) now, it fixes an error in the Commodity Panel. You cant change Display Commodities, as long as enough records of similar economies are recorded (minimum one of each type).

Thx for the update, couldn't figure out any workarround so far for the 2nd error. Everytime i want to update/save the station's commodities i get the mismatch error.

Tried now with Office 2007 SP3 and still getting the type mismatch popups.

Maybe it's some form of localization issue? Cause we germans for example handle dates and big numbers a bit different.
No idea, just a random guess.

I am getting the same error.

I took a look at the log folder. I am not seeing the netLog files. There is a ".log" file that is showing but that does not seem to have any useful data in it from the systems I have been in or any sells data.
I don't know if the Verbose option is working. Despite checking the text to make sure it matches correctly.

C:\Users\CLANGSTON\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1010\Logs
There are older logs example netLog.1501212137.01.log but the only recent is ".log" with the current date and time updates.

Can we see an example portion of the data we should be seeing in the log files for the script to be working correctly.

Also I am not sure the certificate portion of the install is working for me. But then I just turned on all macros to get it working.
The script pulls up the default database info but I never see any data related to where my ship is located or the system I am in.

Here is the portion of the XML file I have :
<Network
VerboseLogging="1"
Port="0"
upnpenabled="1"
LogFile="netLog"
DatestampLog="1"
>

It looks ok to me and all the menu options for the TCE come up ok but I never can get anything but "LHS 3447 Dalton and Yapping Enterprise"

Looks like it can be a great tool. I just hope I can get it so I can use it.

Any help is appreciated, let me know if you need any other info from me.

Tried V1.07, using Office 2007, Win7 Home 64bit, still saying macro's disabled, have enabled macro's in trust center and also made sure that the trusted publisher, trusted installer all points to the TCE. Not sure if I have Office 2007 SP3 installed, but cannot download it yet, due to me being on a mobile dongle and it is nearly 400Mb. Will try and download when I get home off my ship, really want this program to work

Keep up the great work, Bigtaff

P.s. TCE installed in the following Diectory F:\Games\EDLaunch\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1003\TCE

Haven't read the entire thread...

I totally get keeping the source private.

But, IMO, this game needs an add-on scripting language, and I don't see it coming anytime soon. Releasing the source could give the framework to other developers to make more add-ons, until/unless they add official support for it.

And, then, others could add OCR ability so you didn't have to. :)

This is almost certainly it. Several languages use different thousand and decimal separators which can play havok with numeric fields. You could try switching settings under the regional and language options in your control panel to confirm it.

I doubt they will add a scripting language but an API is currently being discussed so we can pull information fro the game client and use external tools. FD are also considering allowing us to feed information back into the client so we might even be able to use that panel between our legs!

Switched to English(USA) and same type mismatch errors.
But it's still possible that there are localization issues.

But i have no idea how Excel and Access databases operate differently in german, if at all. It's been like umm 15 years or so i programmed in VBA :p

I finally got 1.7 to work with my office 2010. I used the full installer and then upgraded to 1.7. I do have my ED folder added as a trusted location though so I might try removing that and see if macros are still enabled.

The type mismatch is definitely down to thousand and decimal separators. I changed mine to . as the thousand and , as the decimal and I can save commodities now. The demand field isn't big enough as I get "subscript out of range" when trying to add a 4 million demand. I guessed that was going to happen when I pressed Enter and the value turned into # symbols.

I'm loving the tool though and if you could add an EliteOCR CSV import to save on the typing it would be even more awesome!

It all runs but I have an issue when pointing to my log directory, I get an info box

3265

Item cannot be found in the collection corresponding to the requested name
or ordinal.

It will see me in the correct system but not in a station, I suspect it cannot read my log file properly, verbose is on and logging, also each time I start I have to point to the log folder again.

Thx for the info. I use the german Office 2007 so . as thousand and , as decimal is correct. Entering stock field i use only 999 for more than 1 mil. stocks. It makes no difference.

I use german office as well, but i like to play ED in english, maybe i should try to install office in english as well.

To all who experience errors, please give me a screenshot of what TCE's state is or what you have entered before the error showed up. In addition please tell me your Office version. Thanks.

Finally got around the issue with macros disabled: (Regedit Fix)

To work around this issue, disable antivirus scanning on encrypted files that contain macros. To do this, follow these steps:
Exit the 2007 Office programs.
Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
Locate following registry subkeys:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Excel\Security

On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
Type the following value names on the registry subkey that you clicked and then press ENTER:
ExcelBypassEncryptedMacroScan

Right-click the DWORD value that you created in step 4, and then click Modify.
In the Value data box, type 1, and then click OK.
On the File menu, click Exit to exit Registry Editor.

Now I get the following error on Launch: compile error in hidden module diesearbeitsmappe

Any Ideas???

Please check the following: Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Content Tab > Certificates

There should be a entry for TCE in TrustedPublisher, TrustedRoot and Intermediate. When not, try prestart.bat in the TCE folder again, or install it manually in each named area.
