Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

It might cut off NPC trade though...

You can make you a picture of whats going there if you give Ngaliba system a visit. Lockdown and Outbreak factions there with lots of checkpoints, convoy beacons and debris fields..

Security vessels, type'9 and so on scanning you for an infection etc (may caused by the outbreak)..

what's in a debris field? same for convoy beacon? and what meds are they seeking? i assume those work the same as "seeking luxuries?"

Went through this system the other night and ran into this mess. Definitely interesting, was quite hostile and was getting pinged by things left and right, including about 5 other commanders who were hanging around there. Debris field i checked out seemed empty - had to temporarily drop into one there to try and give someone who i think was tailing me the slip.

By empty I dont mean devoid of anything.. seemed like wreckage from a large ship battle, but no dropped loot or anything of that kind. had one NPC ship that was flying off into the void on scanners.

Poor sobs seem to be in a bit of a state, thats for sure.

Garnier Survey "Brata" is under new management. The evil commies have been cast out and the Imperial Society is now the ruling faction. Long live the Empire.
Now if I knew what any of this means. :)

Currently the cooldown period is 25 days so that sounds plausible. We are planning on dropping that value right down in the near future.

Hi Michael,
Is there any chance that Influence can be measured and displayed in population rather than percentage? That is, the reward shows "+500 people now support this faction" or "-400 people now support this faction".

The current system is fairly unintuitive since regardless of the mission or action the influence change is always 1%. From experience, the actual influence change is not actually 1%. It also does not give a sense of immediacy to a player's actions.

Thank you!

Update.

Lockdown critical for CSG (we dont want this state to happen) ! Dont do missions increasing lockdown and dont import non-lethal weapons !

Crimson State Group 89.8%
Lugh for Equality 9.8%
Dominion of Lugh 0.1%
Lugh Defence Force 0.2%
Silver Natural 0.1%

Lugh for Equality are currently in a Boom state and pending Boom (with red pointer down now).

Crimson State Group are currently in a Boom state and pending Boom, Civil War (cooldown) and Lockdown critical.

Lugh Defence Force are pending Civil War (cooldown).

PS: Looking forward to see how long our Boom (respectively LFE's Boom) will last and if we are still in Civil War cooldown afterwards.

Influence Graph updated!

I think we need to get through the Boom to move on to the next state (either Lockdown, which I think is inevitable, or Civil War).

A boom state will continue until the accrued boom value is spent or it reaches it's maximum length (which is about 3 weeks).

Michael

So the question in my mind is: what can we do to "spend" the boom value? Do we need to feed the "Seeking Luxuries" enough?

I think we need to stop doing trade missions and trading to end the boom status (or actively working against the trades). Look at the galaxy map and how many systems/faction are in boom status. I think this is caused by trading and trade missions alone. What else could be the cause for the "booming galaxy" in general at the moment?

Yes but i also think this is because the background simulation has just started. After the economics Booms we maybe get economic Busts and all will settle down a bit. I am eager to where this development will progress in the galaxy.

Yes I think Sirius is right. The boom doesn't bother me too much. I am more concerned with the lockdown and think we should stop doing missions unless they are delivery missions and collect missions. That way we will keep increasing our influence and reduce LFE. When the cooldown finally boils off we can just cut trading all together and we will be in the 90% bracket. The other stations should start falling then. No matter what this is going to take a while unless the lead station falls first. We want plenty of % to see us through the times we need to stop trading so better to get that up now I would think.

Naming other players on the forum is against the rules.

Sooo you don't want to be able to know who is hostile in order to not be taken by surprise?

It also helps weed out spys, if commander x logs off and commander y and z log on to kill you ( repeatedly in order to rule out coincidence) than we know who to block/ kill on sight.

It's not like I'm violating privacy
