Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Update.

Lockdown critical for CSG (we dont want this state to happen) ! Dont do missions increasing lockdown and dont import non-lethal weapons !

Crimson State Group 89.4% (-0.4%)
Lugh for Equality 10.3% (+0.5)
Dominion of Lugh 0.1%
Lugh Defence Force 0.1% (-0.1%)
Silver Natural 0.1%

Lugh for Equality are currently in a Boom state and pending Boom (with red pointer down).

Crimson State Group are currently in a Boom state and pending Boom (with red pointer down now), and Lockdown critical (with blue pointer up).

Lugh Defence Force are pending Civil War critical (changed to critical from yesterday).

Silver Natural LTD pending civil war critical.

PS: As we dont have pending states civil war since today anymore it seems like we have been trough our civil war cooldown period and if this period lasts 25 days it might happened on the 03.01.2015 (seems clear now for me that most people didnt noticed it 2-3 days after the new year celebration..maybe in my case :) ). Also our Boom state seems to wear off with having pendings states boom with red pointer down since today.

Interesting: LDF has pending states civil war critical now.

EDIT: just saw that Silver Natural LTD has also pendings states civil war now. So LDF is going into civil war with SN LTD soon.

Oh no, thanks for the offer, but it was my own incompetence, so I'll sort it. Just thought I'd share a face-palm moment with you all.

In my cobra I can normally get out quick enough when I forget to request permission. The T6 though isn't quite so willing to turn around and speed up...

I'm just glad there were no commanders around when I did it :)

Although I'm sure I detected some sarcasm when I got back to Balandin and got the message "welcome, trusted ally..." There may even have been sniggering in the background. Or I'm paranoid...

I did this in my T6 just last week i didn't even try to turn the damn thing i just pulled it into reverse and hoped for the best.
Everything was going good the ship was half out of the Door when all of a sudden i started to go forward again, That's when i noticed that there was a clipper stuck to my ass.

I think you have to just laugh when you get yourself into stupid situations like that though, After my 10 mins of 800k loss rage i just laughed it off and went to make some more CRs

It took me a few moments too see what that was so interesting. I noticed the name but couldn't think why at first.

Interesting: LDF has pending states civil war critical now (good luck with your 0.1%). If they might go into civil war with LFE (which seems is crazy with 0.1%) we should support them. If they get one station out of LFE's hand durring our possible lockdown period we have one more station then LFE.

I wonder why LFE had such a sharp rise? Hmmmm...

Also if lockdown is a bad thing I wonder if the blue pointer up means it is lifting or does it mean the likelyhood is getting stronger?

That is not what this is about Flin. I have explained to ollobrains what this thread is about many times and he just keeps pushing this expansion thing. I have remained quiet up until now but at this stage I have had enough. He is running his own test and frustrated with the fact that he wants to run an expansion experiment has tried pushing it here on this thread despite the fact that he has been told several times that that is not what this thread (storyline is about). Not content to run his own thing he has actively being trying to derail this because it does not suit his agenda. It is a free world and he is quite capable of doing his own thing as am I and I respect his thread and what he is attempting to do and feel others should afford me the same liberty. But he does not seem content with that and now is actively trying to poach people off this thread for his own with a number of posts to that effect.

Why does he feel the need to keep coming in here and doing this? We have put countless hours into this including effort and organisation but he feels it is OK to to come in and mess that up because it suits him?

So if there is anyone who wants to run an expansionist experiment go and join ollobrains thread. As I have said many times already that is not what this thread is about.

the test of the background simulator - of course youre welcome to start a thread about lugh in groups.

would indicate the 2 minor factions are going at each others throats, this can only be good news for CSG if the results from elsewhere match up. Should have 95% soon enough

Neither of them can take a station so I wonder what the outcome of that will be? Maybe one of them will disappear for good?

I started this thread. I don't need to start another one or need an explanation of what this one is.

It's all my fault. :) I've been bounty hunting the last few nights, and now I'm taking my Imperial bounties to the small Imperial outpost I found nearby, and decided to bring along a surface scanner and collect data on some of the more interesting systems I've discovered along the way. 62k already from systems near Lugh which I'll have to sell there, and I have five systems to scan that I'll be bring back home to Balandin Gateway.

When I get back, I'll be running more missions and rebuild my "war chest," and you'll see CSG influence's* influence skyrocket once again. ;)

Please knock it off. You're constantly disrupting this thread with your expansion agenda. This experiment has always been, from day one, about testing how to flip a system, not about empire building. It says so right in the opening post. The storyline is freeing Lugh from the Federation, which makes this much more fun IMO, but the experiment has been to flip Lugh from control by the Federation to control by an independent station.

Please show a modicum of respect for everyone working on this project, and drop your efforts to hijack this experiment for your own purposes.

Good question !

This could mean that we get a free spot for a new faction expand from a other system to Lugh. Candidate for this would be the PPOLTT4846 as they have pending state expansion critical. Could happen after their Boom state is finished. I ask me also if this happens from where they cut of their 9.1% starter influence. System wide shared from all factions (in our case only CSG and LFE are left with influence) ?

But we still have time to work against their expansion (if a queued state is possible to negotiate).

Sorry i had to talk about expansion because i dont want to have the PPOLTT4846 in Lugh :)

Seems as if the Federal Justice Department will send some T-9s soon to collect evidence in checkpoints for a few trials... ;)

Very funny :)

But I don't think you are ever going to get away from having multiple factions in a system so as long as they don't threaten the status quo it really makes no difference if it is them or anyone else.

Very funny :)

:) Once CSG hits 100% this thread can close, and the lugh group can rise on groups.

As a natural consequence of the experiement of the persistant universe reaching its stated goal

Not correct. There are quite a few small 100% single faction systems.

Like Pauishana, Lahasim or Gadagese.

OK. But I would suspect that is in a place with zero player traffic? Once players start trading in an area it will forever be in a state of flux.

Glad I have your permission.

What do you mean?

I just mean that it seems as if you will get Lockdown pretty soon.

Since you work hard to prevent it, but nevertheless the blue arrow indicates that there is more and more lockdown coming.
And you are in Boom (so cooldown there pretty soon) and Civil War cooldown, but didn't have a Lockdown yet.

And when Lockdown comes, there will be "Checkpoints" across the system with Federal vessels in them. And there will be Type 9s floating around that have a "Collecting Evidence" name.

Let's hope that the Civil War comes first as soon as the Boom is over.

EDIT:
The 100% systems are in areas with player traffic. Neighbouring system even had 240 people in 24 hours 2 days ago.
They were just being started that way, and noone has expanded into them yet.
EDIT2: How the whole influence stuff will work in extremes can be seen in highly frequented High Tech systems and in the rare trading systems.

actually the rare systems are interesting, the wealth of CSG in lugh if it gets high enough, will it begin creating its own type of rare trading goods

Sooo you don't want to be able to know who is hostile in order to not be taken by surprise? ... It's not like I'm violating privacy
It's not a matter of what I want. You're violating the rules of the forum, and also the rules of the game itself. As you can see, those names have all been <snipped>. Posting names is just making work for the moderators.

Lockdown (might also be Outbreak) in Ngaliba :)

This is the "test the background simulation" thread. Expansion is part of the background simulation, whether you like it or not.
The only way to properly test the background sim is to have focused group efforts in one direction. If we all just do our own thing in Lugh, pulling in different directions, then we will never find out what can be achieved. Expansion should be tested elsewhere, with a group that is devoted to testing that mechanic and trying various strategies to cause expansion. Maybe some people who are working in Lugh could be persuaded to go join you, that's perfectly fair. And we can't stop you from doing your own thing in Lugh and working contrary to our group effort, other than by in-game means. Zap zap! ;)

Maybe this thread should be moved and renamed, but it is the first and biggest player-driven background sim test, and keeping it in the main forum helps to attract people to it.
