FD just Nuked loads of trade routes!

Again, stop the personal attacks.

Secondly, this argument of the "Journey" being worthwhile in and of itself is misleading. Because by that yardstick, you can thusly defend any and all games from being criticised for lacking content or worthwhile things to do. In effect, even a "watch paint dry" simulator would be a game worthy of your attention, due to the "Journey" from fresh paint to dry paint.
But dat moment when the you watch the last small patch of wet paint join with the rest of the dried wall. *shudders* it's too good. Oh wait, that's the destination I guess lol

The Chicken Littles in this thread are extremely amusing.

For the record, Luxuries traders are not gone. I have one confirmed in the last two hours that I could run at somewhere around 15,000 Cr/hrTon. The reason it still works is that not many know about it!

"Regular" trades are just like they always were. What is gone is infinite supply. What is gone is the ability to look up a trade online because you can be sure that many people will do the same thing and destroy the supply quickly. What is gone is the ability to run a generic trade route around the core player systems like Lave. But one - or even a few - pilots are not going to run a station out of supply in the course of normal trading.

The only thing this change "nerfed" is crowdsourcing trading.

My father is a rich guy, I started with a BMW, so by definition....
So your life is a trucking simulator, which includes street racing and you got a nice 350 that you started racing in minutes after you were born...no your response is clever and totally applies to an mmo

Hate to burst your bubble, but you aren't a moderator.
So? And is only a moderator allowed to tell people to lay off on the character assassinations?

But you're right. I'll make use of the Report Post function and then the mods will tell him that those actions are not quite sanctioned.

Reported for insulting other forum members.

Waste of time, instead you should be looking for a new trade route :D
I'm currently rather bored by the game, truth to be told. I like games which challenge me or have a lot of attention to details.

Dark Souls, for example, or Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Sad to see that when some people complain that their preferred way of playing is nerfed out come the fanboys arguing that their preferred way of playing is not impacted at all so it is not an issue (to them) and finishing of with nasty remarks and insults.

If your playstyle is not impacted, why bother arguing in a thread like this. Go play the game in stead of being nasty on the forums. Thanks for your understanding.

There's a bit of a difference between "your actions are [xyz]" and "you are [xyz]".

That's not what I said. I said "perhaps you're a boring person."
And that's why I asked you "what insult"?

I can say, however, that this aspect of the discussion is boring me.

I'm not trading personally but am glad it got harder to earn cash. So every aspect of the game should be, like in the 1984 opus.
I believe there is no better way to stop people from grinding than making it as hard as possible.
I didn't enjoy the game the first week I played anywhere near as much as I do now, simply because (and I was unaware of it at the time) I was grinding my way through a Cobra MkIII.
Now playing as an explorer and knowing the prices of outfitting and (don't even want to think about it) the next on the line ASP, I find myself just enjoying the game without thinking of the credits I make along the way… and the game has truly started for me now.

Hell, I'll even take on a "watch the paint dry" mission if it was relevant to my story/game.
EDIT:….for free.

Ironically, if most of the people complaining about this would actually log into the game, they'd have been able to find a lucrative route by now.

That was one example. Your whole post history in this thread is condescending. I could dissect each and every post, detailing where you attack the character of people you don't agree with instead of providing proper arguments, but that's not really worth my while.

Not sure why people who disagree with the change, when told to "do something else", says the entire game outside of A-B repeat trading is boring.

What happens when you earn enough for an Anaconda?

you did not get the geste of my post, trade is nerfed and finding a new route has little value, trading has become pretty useless.
