Michael while you're answering questions, why do many of us have such slow downloads? I've been downloading for an hour now and am only at about 60%. I do have rubbish internet but still, it's only 2.5 GB and shouldn't take me all night to download ... in my opinion.

EDIT: In 1984 I had The Hobbit on tape for the C64 and it would take an hour to load ... just saying.

TBH Alien the down loader has always been kinda slow.... It would be a serious quality of life issue to get a nice shiny multi threaded (and throttle able just in case) launcher. Also if the launcher could update itself so we don't need to be told to DL a new launcher too, that'd be good...

Not sure if it is patch 1.1 related and news are generated by server, but Galnet news goes mad (four very same articles with long title and no text) ;)

To the east is a round green door ... them were the days lad. ;)

Re: the speed of the galaxy map/route planner now - stunning! Whoever worked on that - thank you!

And a question - can anyone tell me where I can see "discovered by" information? I kind of expected to see it in the system view INFO tab when I clicked on a planet but I haven't seen any evidence of this yet.

Yes ... I watched the third Hobbit film the other week and realised in the 1984 game, I saw Gandalf ... never saw any Dwarves though :(

My point was that in the time I have been downloading this 2.5GB update, I could have loaded The Hobbit on tape back in 1984.

And there is problem with Imperial Clipper.
I change my Python to stored Cliper and game crashed.
Now i cant load game, just after rotating Clipper game crashing.

On the System Map, select a body and it shows under the name of the body.

Confirming Clipper Bug

I have a Python and a Clipper (keeping my options open!) - the Python was the active ship before the update and v1.1 opened and played fine. However on switching to the Clipper the game immediately crashed to desktop, and now wont start with the Clipper as the active ship - the spinning orange ship appears during loading then crash.
I've submitted a ticket.
I had A1 sensors in my Clipper and was wondering if this was the problem?

Confirming Clipper Bug

I have a Python and a Clipper - 1.1 started fine with Python as the saved ship but immediately crashed to desktop on switching to stored Clipper and now won't re-open (crash after spinning ship loading screen) - I had A1 sensors in the Clipper which I think was removed in the Beta, did you guys too? Could this be the problem?
