We're looking into this, hold off on the support request for now for refund until I have more information.

Thanks alot for not wanting to risk playing the game now - because of a problem reported before the release of the patch - WHY did you release this patch?

I have started to hear Lions roar in hyperspace jumpy thingy . . .
Also noticed that just before I land I can hear an old style 'Trill' phone going off...I think Space sickness has taken me....must get back and trade and find other unnatural sounds.
P.s. Don't listen for them...once you hear them, you cannot unhear them
Yeah, like the Friendship drive engaging.

Is anyone else seing the text in the Contracts panel (2nd tab, left hand HUD panel) with a white background rather than the usual orangey yellow? Is this deliberate? It look horrible.

Edit: actually it might be called Transactions
It is horrible and not at all in keeping with the rest of the design work. Stands out like a sore thumb.

Hmm now I have read the collision issue here I don't feel so bad. I skimmed a Type 9 this morning with my type 7 and it looked and felt like just shields. But I had taken 31% hull damage. I just thought to myself that I was stupid as I could have avoided it. But now seems like their is a issue.

We're working on a few priority issues and in particular the excessive collision damage issue. I don't have an eta for a fix, but once we have it we'll release an update.

That's pretty nice to see. For me this is a "play" or "not to play" thing, so hope it gets "corrected".

But never do this again...don't change what it works, you could probably deliver more features instead of changing something that worked just fine.

Same with the sounds, for me they were perfect and now there are missing details and it doesn't feel right at some points.

Now because of those things you have more work to do, I don't think you all (the team) like that at all for sure.

Keep working guys, sometimes we (the people who play) just focus on the negative things but I personally have to say that a lot of the things in this update were needed and I'm glad you put them...so thank you for that. ;)

Yes I can have three installed on my Asp.
That doesn't change the fact that the one that's enabled now takes more power than before.
Fair enough... This is trying to slow down their use.

They reduced the ammo count because they were deemed to OP and made combat too easy.
So they simply try making you run out of them, instead of relying on relying on limiting the frequency of their use? So you need to keep going back to stations for ammo? Hmmm!

I'm confused... Surely just limit the frequency they can be used, be it that you have one or a hundred of them. eg: Once every X seconds... Done... If you carry two of them, its of no advantage other than you've sacrificed weight for more ammo? You cannot use them more frequently?

Don't forget the added delay and heat spill.
You might damage your ship if you pop a shield cell while your lasers are running.

I've noticed some missions, particularly where they're asking for scrap metal, the description text shows "&46" in the quantity field instead of the number.

Another update another data.ovx validation error. NO No don't bother trying to fix it FD, I'll just spend another 5 hours trying to work around it tomorrow. Maybe someone has already found the work around this time but since your forum search engine doesn't actually find anything you search for I will have to wait until I have a full weekend to go through every post since the update.

Any chance in undoing the Nerf made to asteroid fields? They used to look beautiful, now there is next to no ambient fog. If I sit a hundred meters or so above the asteroid field (but actually in the instance) and look directly down on it, I can see a very small patch of ambient fog which covers maybe, 1% of the visible asteroid field, only when im actually fully inside the asteroid field does it look better. Additionally, the fog that is there is so thin now that it is very easy to notice that every asteroid more than a few hundred feet away from you doesn't have any textures, shading etc and so look very poor. Please say this will be getting reverted to 1.07's quality, or at least provide the graphics options so beefier PC's can up it back up to where it was.
Couple of pics for comparison, 1.07:35.jpg36.jpg

I still had trouble, but found MACK's post and noticed he's also put up the new ROOT file. Couldnt validate, also added ROOT file to Win32 folder and viola, working.

From MACK's updates 1.06 fix:

The data.ovx file is available here http://dump.bass-speaker.com/data.zip
and root.ovl is available here http://dump.bass-speaker.com/Root.zip

GIVE MACK YO MONEY FD! Saved your ass 3 times now.

Ahh found it . Could you please let us know why we always have to wait for this MACK guy to fix it for us and FD continues to ignore it.
Sent a ticket and it gets closed automatically with a list of fixes of which none works and then ignored again.
Please find an actually fix ( maybe actually reply to tickets and gather actual information about the problem or maybe FD could just ask MACK).

We will provide an automatic credits reimbursement for people who died by crashing and paid the insurance fee. This will be calculated from deaths by crashing after 1.1 was released until 1.1.02 is released.

Will that include the cargo too ? 200t of pretty much anything is expensive.

Random 1.1 question - were explosions pretty'd up? Or was it just in the beta? The ones I've seen so far (inc anacondas) aren't nearly as impressive as the excellent Kornelius Briedis':

I'm running on Ultra, am I missing something?

My Viper instantly went pop after a NCP Anaconda brushed past me last night. I was putting it down to bad luck, but maybe it was part of these issues. :)

More than just the graphics I would prefer them to be more, well, lets say, dynamic. Flying through an asteroid field is kind of easy and safe with ED, even with a large Anaconda boosting through. The asteroids are all so fixed in the position. Not sure if the fixed position is more realistic or them moving around Star Wars style:
