Don't underestimate the amount of "old schollers" in this game. The game will change, agreed. But probably not the way you're dreaming about.

Speaking as an "oldschooler" myself, i'm not sure what it is most of you want except for "NOT THAT" shouted loudly at pretty much everything in whichever is the most current newsletter.

I'm not 'dreaming' about it changing in any way at all, I am happy with it as it is now, if nothing ever changed ever I'd still play happily.
But there are things on the horizon that will change the game, no one can escape that and I embrace them.

That's what happens when you storm into a discussion waving your arms like windmills.... the innocents get hurt first....
Imagine a man shouting at another confused man, the confused man bursts out laughing at the situation, that man is me :D

"heh you're only saying this poll is broken cause you don't agree with it"

Look man if you can't see that 165% of people disagree with you then I put it to you that you hate democracy and freedom

It'd be cool if the external camera was actually us as a pilot taking a space walk, tethered to our ship with an oxygen tube.
That way it could also take a few seconds for us to get back in the ship to continue flying.
Being out of your ship could put you in danger and leave you exposed so taking selfies would carry a very real risk.

That I'd actually be behind. Maybe when they do the "walking around stations and boarding other ships" expansion.

EVA was always planned as being a thing, but first FD need to find a way of ungluing the pilot from his seat.

Curry, the answer is always curry

For real, I'd be happy with a no clip camera that instantly pans around but I think my idea above would be a great middle ground to keep everyone happy perhaps

Makes you realise your pilots suit contains more than just pressurised air...

There's two questions in that poll.

wow so it is, i can't actually work out why it's multiple choice though. it's a yes or no question, with a reason which is more a feedback on your choice thing. it absolutely reads like it shoulda been a single choice poll.
This really isn't the road to a full third person mode though, hell i don't want that either (mainly for VR reasons). a "thin end of the wedge" argument is an argument against something happening that uses the fact that it hasn't happened yet as evidence that it is going to happen.

The VR thing is a great point, as I get a massive advantage as it is right bow in combat with a Rift on, more so than any external camera would ever give me anyway
