Hi Michael,

What happens to people who have died a few times from this bug in expensive ships? Can you guys detect who has died from it?

Cheers
You need to submit a support ticket stating when it happened and how much the insurance cost was. Including which bug caused it is probably a good idea. You'll need to be really patient though. I had to wait 5 weeks and when they looked at my ticket they took money out of my balance instead of refunding it even though they said it was a bug and it needed to be refunded. They then just put my balance roughly back to what it was originally without the refund. I'm on round 3 now and hoping (although not expecting) to get it sorted this time. Serious patience is required. Mind you, they might have taken a dislike to me and perhaps are messing with me intentionally ;)

Hi everyone,

update 1.1.06 is incoming at 15.30 GMT and the servers will be down for up to 30 minutes. The update contains the following changes:

- Don't crash if player dies as they enter hyperspace
- Don't allow landing gear to destroy a player ship when deployed
- Use the correct jurisdiction for determining fine for illegal goods
- Fix network issue with text channel being shut down prematurely
- Adjusted terraforming meta data on three systems to stop server errors
- Story and text updates

Thanks!

Michael

Thanks Michael!! I hope everything goes as planned with the beta testing too :)

How long this time?

This is why I hate online games!

Give us a pseudo server so we can play OFFLINE and avoid all this crap. We can then download patches as we want them. I don't give a damn if it can't link with the online server, I'd prefer to play without it thanks.

I KNOW DUDE, my mom was about to give me a sponge bath since i'm to obese to leave my computer chair, but now with this 30 minute downtime she thinks i should be able to urinate by myself too. I don't give a damn if it can't link with the online server, i'd prefer to spend my time connected to the internet complaining about some stupid ................oh wait i did just do that =)

Nice. One thing I love about FD's update schedule is that it's smack bang on my shut eye time. In the morning I can read about whether it's an awesome update or some crippling bug managed to get itself in for me to avoid.

If you are scanned with stolen or illegal goods then you can't sell the marked goods - however the fines are also now much smaller. So don't get scanned with illegal or stolen goods!

Michael
(Sorry to quote from a closed thread, but the key turned just as I was about to post!)

Is there anything at all that can be done with marked cargo, or is it just inert and valueless jump-reducing ballast now?

And, does it have to be handed over, or can it be jettisoned without additional penalty?

Just a quick look-in to see how things are going. Looks great with all the new features. When 1.2 is all running sweet I will pop back to take a look. I miss ED but it's too risky with my 19mil insurence for my conda and the sudden death bugs I have experienced.

So it is indeed wonderful news that one of them bugs have been fixed. I hope the others too will be fixed soon and I can come back and play for real. We really need our data more secure when a bug hits. I hope that is getting some love too.

Good stuff and good luck all. ED is getting there for sure :)

Is it the main game or the beta that's being upgraded at the moment??

I had a ticket logged from January and they have just reimbursed me for the 13m I lost when my Anaconda blew up thanks to this "feature" :)

You did log a ticket right? They may be able to check the telemetry anyway but you should always log a ticket, as this will give them the time/date etc and make checking things a whole lot easier....

Mate, I've played MMO's that have weekly maintenance that lasts hours, Bug fixes that never come and when they do they take hours as well. And then they have to hotfix the bugs they introduced with the bug fix.
FD are doing an awsesome job and downtime here is nothing compared to other games by major publishers. Do what I do when the servers go down mate, change the catheter bag, have a shower, run computer maintenance, have something to eat. it's all good bro. mellowww

Nothing for me so far...just checked. Ticket still open (it got closed for the first incident some time ago, reopened it when it hit my Anaconda).
But i'm patient, it will take a while to work through the tickets.
