Lets test this persistent universe and see if FD are true to their word.

Anyone feels like posting an update on the state of the community goals for those of us who cannot sit in their cockpits ?

Top 5 contributors and a mission update at Operation Dullahan.

From what Galnet says, this goal is our chance to expose a potential weakness in the Federation strategy and give the CSG an edge in the war. And with the first Federal ground assault launched on Seega Port and the imminent arrival of a second capship in Lugh, we will absolutely need it. In fact, reaching the maximum tier for this goal might be our only chance to win the war (we cannot compete with the Feds in bond farming while they have capships around doing the work for them, no matter how hard we try).

Yes we have to redirect everything we have into Operation Dullahan. There is no other option at this point.

I admire all of you guys effort and perseverance. I would have joined you but, a weekend out of town and less than spotty internet (I lugged the desktop,x52p and dk2 along) prevented it. Hopefully I'll have it set up later and can join in the war.

Thanks for the info, Xeonyx! I'm on the convoy beacon atm, and I didn't read the news :)

Every effort helps. Thank you.

I got visitors this afternoon but still gonna try and get on for a quick run (brother in law will want to take a look - get away from the ladies for an hour, have some beers and collect some canisters). Will also be on this evening (in the new Vulture)

I might be able to join for a bit tonight (emphasis on "might").
If that's the case I will happily salvage as much intel as I possibly can. Blasting at Feds, stealing from them, helping CSG and replenishing my war chest all at the same time ... what else could we possibly ask for ? :D

I've already made quite a bit from just a few round trips. My vulture only has 8 cargo spaces and this is still worthwhile. I can't play for long but will do what I can.
Unlike many who have posted here I'm am not just here for the money, but even if you are I encourage this very lucrative activity!

Don't fly into a war zone and expect to be ignored. When I see a commander drop into a combat zone, I'll chase him down until he declares, or if Im in a dogfight I'll at least keep a wary eye on him, especially if he starts following me or my wing. An un-declared commander is a can of instant death.

And if the person flys in .. out of curiosity not really knowing what is going on except from what they have read in game.. you know, just have a look see try and work out what is going on and you blast them .. then all your doing here is recruiting fighters for the federation. Hell.. Ive been doing nothing but stuff for Crimson since I found out about this but if someone gave me some obnoxious ultimatum Id tell them to go take a hike too.

Perhaps you should try winning people over instead.. you know ..give them some info about why fighting for Lugh's independence is decent thing to do..point out there are arguments in the Federation itself that this is just political diversion to bolster the presidents position without caring about the will of the people of Lugh ....if you want to break RP you could tell them to find out about the real story in this thread first before they believed the Federation propaganda. Just shooting them is just.. ugh

My plan is to downgrade from a Class 5A to a 4A shield generator in my Vulture, which leaves space for 38t cargo whilst keeping enough shielding to let me get to work!

I'd love to be out there right now. Unfortunately, I use a HOTAS at home and I only have a Mouse and Keyboard at work. So my combat ability is greatly impaired and requires a high level of attention. I'll see you guys out there tonight.

Keep it up guys. It's moving. If we all pull together and hit this hard we are in with a chance. Seriously, this might even turn the tide of the war if this Seega thing plays out the way I think it might :)

They think they have us :)

I am in a vulture too and am having success with 32t cargo, i just went down to a class 4 shield while i'm doing this mission. 2 shield boosters and a shield cell you should have no problems. 1.3m each time + bonds for balandin.

I understand your point. You still need to understand you walked into a warzone. There are no press passes, and even then, press die a lot when they go to check out open conflicts. That's what happens when you walk into a war. The Crimson could possibly do more, like you said, but then at the same time it's not a priority to take time out and try and recruit a tourist while in the middle of fighting. It is a priority to stay alive. And any commander not declaring is a threat, to either side.

Griff, I was flying in open with a wing yesterday, and when we declared sides the people in it immediately opened fire upon us. It turned out to be feds, or mercenaries working for their own means, working the system. If you declare your side immediately entering, right panel, last menu choice, choose faction, no one allied with us will shoot you. Those that are working on our behalf, but are connected voluntarily, are another story. If someone kills you and you want us to investigate, we will do so. PM me the commander name and I will check our ally listing and return information to you.

Thing is, right now the feds kinda pay better a little bit.
And you see my avatar. I usually support the feds, but I can't bring myself to do too much to fight what these guys did with the background sim.

A true gent (whose heart is in the wrong place)! For the discerning pilot with a decent ship, Operation Dullahan pays better than anything the Federation can offer.

Theorically, I think you could play for both sides and make money while not really helping anyone to win this war.

Now, as Orfeboy has already said many times, if we win all those who have fought for us will be able to say "I was there, I helped Lugh to become the first system to secede from the Federation". And playing alongside the the core members of the CSG supporters has been the best fun I've had in ED, by far.
