Of course not ;) I am playing almost year, 99% in open and it is OK, i was interdicted two or three times by a player ;) I met many great people during wanderlusting through galaxy.

Well now. That's an interesting question for you to ask considering this post of yours (amongst others) in the Open v Solo mega thread....

anyways, the debate goes on. PVPers want compelling gameplay, a reason to fight, and targets.. we have little of all those (and RP our own reasons to fight). PVEers want safe places to space truck by themselves, which they have in abundance.

the solution, as i have always maintained is to create an 'open only' shard that is always online, where commanders and background sim are unique --- this would address ALL groups concerns, and make everybody happy.

open is full of decent players, many on my friends list only play in open, it just when you come across groups that go out of their way to try and bring EVE online ethics into this game that ruin things for everyone. stick with it as when pew pew Star Citizen is released they will all sod off to that game.

Hm, pew pew is not what I like and do. So i am here in open elite ;) I do not met bad or griefing players. But i belive they exists somewhere at the edges of galaxy ;) Maybe they find me or I find them. We will see what future show :)
In the most players are OK. They say 'hail' to me when we meet. Meeting other and strange cmdr in Open is similar to meeting yachts on sea or a lake. Peope wawings hands and saying 'hello, how are you, nice ship! :)
I played Group with friends on early beta, because open wasn't work technically very well, but now it is OK.

Just had a CMDR try to create a one man blockade at Khaka. Asked if I was trading for the Feds; I said I was. He said "This is a blockade... If you run, I will attack... Crimson Fighter".

Fair enough.

Except that this is Mobius, so no PvP outside of Combat Zones, the Fed goal at Khaka had already completed and I was in the process of jumping out already with my reward.

It must have taken him so long to type that message! Aw, bless... :)

the player has been removed from the group.

The only instances where PVP is allowed within this group
will be within Conflict Zones
where players must choose a side
before engaging in combat.

Did the player attack, open hard points? Was you sat there like a lame duck and still wasn't attacked? Pvp had nothing to do with this incident. Nothing wrong with getting involved in the community event at all. So it's fine for you to trade for the Feds but nobody from Crimson can try to discourage you?

It was interaction. I'd like this matter properly arbitrated and not just scape goated as its easyer.
The player in question wasn't touched or held up in any way. He was interacting with the game story as was I.
Where is the pvp in that?
If it turns out I'm out of the group I'll be fine but I'm a right and wrong man and so far this is far from right. I could have opened up at any time. I could have rammed him in the station. I could have done a dozen things but I didn't did I. I'm guilty of interacting with another pilot.

What about the threat of attack if the target ran? That's probably enough to get a player kicked from a PvE group, wouldn't you say?

I think that's the discussion right there! Is bluff and bluster counted as a hostile act in itself. Letter of the rules, I'd say the person didn't actually do any wrong. Spirit of the rules, he probably did.

Personally, I would go with the "use ignore" for words and bluster, only ban/kick for actual attacks.

No I wouldn't given that the other CMDR was working in a war zone. It was player interaction. Player interaction is not banned in mobius group.
I've been removed because of two complaints. This complaint is not valid imo and the other is hopefully being looked at.
If anything the disappointing thing is the shear neck of people labelling others withought a: having the full facts and b: happily labelling them as some kind of mass murderer
