A tad optimistic on my part, perhaps, but it's cool, no rush. I still have over 80K Ly to travel, and I only seem to be making 1k-2k Ly a day at my current rate of progress. I need to pray for some really wet and cold weekends...

Actually things have come together very nicely for our group. Thank you to all the old members coming back together to continue our work, and welcome and thank you to the influx of new members that are now calling the galactic rim home. We are glad to have you all with us.

Well, whatever we did in the last little while had some effect. We're up to 67%

Ran about 5 assassination missions each, identical ones. Turning them for everyone raised influence about 5 x 3 or 4.

While running those missions, we blew up everything that wasn't PCI.

Hey guys,

Trader in a T6 here. I'm really looking to get involved with the political aspects of trading, and wanting to be a part of a team that participates in all aspects of manipulating the sim (combat, trading, etc.). Obviously it looks like you guys are one of the more focused groups on the forums in this regard.

I am thinking about joining up and coming out to Pand, but I'm just curious; have you thought about what you'll do during PowerPlay? I'd like to be involved in the broader picture of the galaxy too; having a 'home base' to work on will be fun, but I don't want to participate in the bigger picture when the update comes out.

We're under the impression that our group isn't large enough to be a power at first. However, 1.3 will give us more tools to expand PCI into other systems. One of our goals is to reach the status of power.

It will be hard ot participat eint he "big picture" for us, as we are nowhere near even close to being a power - nor is any other player group. Those of the go off and score brownie points with any power, ar eof course welcome to, and I'm sure this will have benefits (I'd happily align myself to any power that would give me access to better FSD technology, for example).

For us, 1.3 will mostly about seeing what improvements and tweaks have been brought into the background sim, and honestly, I am really looking forward to the update.

As Sloan said, one of our goals is to potentially become a power. May may succeed, we may fail, but it'll be fun trying. Even trying to find ways to upgrade our outposts to stations, working on ways to increase population, expansion to uncolonised systems, etc (which are not yet implemented as far as I know, but we can hope) are a couple of things on the "to do list" on the way.

On a side note, we hit 70%, Oro rats at 0%, and we are at war critical. A few of you will have an opportunity to gain some combat rank shortly...

Well, I really like what you guys are doing, and since 1.3 is still a little ways off, do you mind if I join you and start trying to bring in some necessary trade goods?

I'm also thinking of spending a ~million on an upgraded Eagle, so I can vary up my gameplay a little. But I think it would be alot of fun to do some trading that isn't so focused on 'max profit per hour'.

Go ahead, both of you! Hop on teamspeak, a few of us hop on when we're playing.

As for timezones, afaik, most of us are around the world. I personally am GMT -4, but am on around all day.

Mac or PC?

You can cheat, Google "TM", then highlight, cut and paste, otherwise, with make, it's "option" + "2" (holding option and going through the keyboard will give you a lot of them - 30ºC, for example, is option + 0. Mac list of characters

On windows, it's a code with bunch of numbers pressed whilst holding down "ALT". I can't remember them off the top of my head, been ages since I have used them on a PC, but alt+0153 seems familiar. But you can just Google "Alt codes" for a list.
