Nah, I'll have the last word. I'm new so I need to get noticed a bit.
I love this idea of the code. They are the type I like to hit on simply by morality need. Where can I find them? Still in Diso?
Well the only thing I dislike is the many comment we can read about them interdicting and killing without requesting cargo. If they do request cargo and then let go, or fight if someone doesn't want to give some, that's only more fun to the game.
I will have the last word: Close down this mutha!!!!Nah, I'll have the last word. I'm new so I need to get noticed a bit.![]()
in this case the roll play = justified griefing. 'lets wing and pick on traders because we havnt got the skills to fight anyone els'
Caught in a Loop .
who are Code ?
Do the Leaders of the Group publish a list of ALL active members of their brotherhood / fraternity / dastardly whacky racers
I have been stopped in Zaonce / Lave and have no idea if it was by Code or some other group , or just an independent Solo pirate.
the real problem is that the game has no options for group affiliations to be displayed in comms or scans
as things stand , anyone can say they are Code Pirates ...
and Code pirates (when not being supervised by their leaders) can act outside the Code
maybe 1.3 will change or at least Alleviate that .. but even if there is a Main Pirate Power / faction for pirates to Join & support .. we still end up with ALL pirates Lumped together .. and no real way to distinguish between them.
looks like we will be dealing with The Good , The Bad & The Down Right Ugly for a little while yet.
it would be a real ++++ to the game if Group Name could somehow be displayed in scan info
although it is proly to much to ask or expect it also in comms chatter ..
e.g CMDR "No Name" (code) Stop Engines , & Prepare for Scan ... you will not be attacked if you comply
e.g CMDR "Comic" (code impersonators) Die trader die .. hehehehehe .....
I really don't understand the pirate thing .. seems like a lot of time & effort for minimal gain & reward ..
but at the same time , I accept that it is a valid part of open play &
I respect peoples right to chose to spend their game time doing it .. just wish the game allowed for better identifications of Affiliations
Pretty much one of the reasons why I don't play in Open. If I wanted to, I can claim to be from CODE and go ram people and tarnish their reputations. Any 'pirate' can claim that they're from CODE with no means of verifying that information in-game.
We have some of the best pvp'ers in the game. We haven't been able to do much actual pirating for about three months because of constant running war with several other pvp groups, now at an end while we wait to see what 1.3 brings. Watch the youtube videos showing s7, Fanatics and ASneakyninja, for examples.
but at the same time, couldn't CODE also deny it even if it's true? What if said player decided to go ahead and wipe their save?Thats why Code members want video evidence so the can make sure it is actually one of their members...

come on , be serious .. how many casual gamers or even hard core gamers , have the tech ability or the computer spec . to be able to get video evidence , especially in stressful / fast moving situations.
....
am using a 970gtx , 16gb system ram , ssd drive for storage .. & that's about all I know .. yeah the gtx can handle vid capture real easy ... one of these DAYS I will have to spend a WEEK working out how lol
If FD are going to encourage coordinated groups they really need to have some way for their member to be identified in game.
