I am sure I read or heard in an interview from DB that he had said a few aspects of the game had been inspired by GOT.

GOT is a great TV series that I did not originally watch when it was first released. Didn't get into it until about the latest series and had to go back and watch all the episodes from the start.

Anybody who watches it can see how power-play could potentially be and personally think it could be great. Sad I know, but used a GOT name generator for my game name, Khal Rayark.

If only they could get aspects of the Walking Dead into elite as well. Waves of zombie ships from the Dead-Zone that can only be destroyed if you target a specific area, LOL.

I used to. Sadly I've had to stop. The books you see. They are so much more than the series. Plus the series now includes spoilers not yet presented in the books.
Pretty much all the series characters are card board cutouts of the book characters. Kind of obvious you might say, TV requires this, but why spoil the future books for myself by watching a poor imitation I say. Been reading them since 1996 so...

Just bear in mind that if it really is like Game of Thrones, your faction may be doing really well one day, then when you next log in the faction leader will have died in some horrific fashion and your assets are being sold off to the highest bidder.

HIH Aisling as a Power, outlaws Imperial Slavery(and regular slavery) in the systems she controls
The slave singers she keeps were the result of a loss of a bet with Torval, which still freed Hundreds of thousands of other Imperial slaves.
Not bad given she lost the wager, but still managed to see so many freed, and she will no doubt free them when the year is up.
