Hevy Jitter in the Core!

I have dual GTX 980's in SLI. Typically with DSR 2x and graphics preset to ultra graphics are smooth and jitter free everywhere except close to planets. This is my first exploration trip to Sag A and upon entering the core I have watched my FPS plummet into the 60's. The further I go into the core the worse it gets. Looks like im going to have to dial back the eye candy to reach Sag A. Anyone else have to do this? Any other 980 sli explorers out there find magic settings to keep most of the eye candy? The beautiful sights are half the fun to exploring. hate to loose that to just reach Sag A!

Don't have a 980 or 980's in SLI, run a single 970 but I can tell you from experience you won't find any magical way around it sadly. The issue starts from about 6k LY from the core and gets progressively worse and worse as you approach it as you are seeing. However, depending on where you're getting the frame drops (for me it was specifically when charging the FSD) there is a way of regaining FPS, if you watch the video below you will see how the issue can be mitigated by simply checking your left panel every time you jump into a new system. Without opening my left panel my frame rate drops to about 20 (from about 160-170) each time. On my trip in and out of the core I just got into the habbit of looking at my left panel every time I jump into a new system, this seems to zero out any frame-rate drops until you enter the next system, where you need to repeat the process.

I will try that. yea activating fsd it goes to hell quick on FPS. I love your hud color. what settings are you using for it?

Thanks :) Here are my settings, but a word of warning green is now red lol, so just bare that in mind for friendly pilots/stations.

Code:
<MatrixRed> -1, 0.79, 1 </MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen> 1, -0.37, -0.26 </MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue> 1, 0.28, -1 </MatrixBlue>

I have the problem in reverse.... when i look at the left panel it starts to stutter... disabling gui-effects doesn't help much :/
about 7kLY from SagA*

Left panels helps some. im 6,200ly out from Sag A and it is getting worse still. Thinking about adjusting the axis upwards and coming down straight on top of Sag A. Hopefully this helps with less dense star clusters.

This is easily fixed by simply untargetting the next destination in your route once you arrive in a system. Target it again and the fps will go horrible again, it's a bug

You can start the fsd for the next jump and then untarget it and the jump will still go through. At least you won't have to spend those 20s in vomit zone.

Let us know if that helps.
