[KICKSTARTER] Uncle Art: Elite II Orchestral Music Remakes

We've been going nuts at Lavecon helping them raise the kickstarter funds... looks like some of it may have worked. We will keep mentioning it on the front desks every time anyone new turns up and 2nd tech Fozza may well be able to give an update in the closing speeches.

UPDATE:

10 hours to go so theres still time to back it BUT!

THEY MADE IT

£33,155

lets help them keep it there with a nice safty net eh folks :)

also:

STRETCH GOAL

So, if we hit 35K we're going to add SLEEVE NOTES to the album!
This will mean a booklet inside the CD and Vinyl with personal notes and photographs about each track. I love a good sleeve note!! I remember being really young and loving the Gasoline Alley early country album by Rod Stewart and in the sleeve notes Ronnie Wood is talking about how Rod came in with just shoelaces for a guitar strap at the start of the sessions and they were all like - God who's this guy! Etc. I don't know, I just love a good sleeve note! It's really personal and makes the physical album all that more special!

Wow, I think that's the closest KS I've backed, though another two are not too far behind in how near to the deadline they were.

hi gang,

Third time lucky; thanks for all your comments and support; the team behind this superb project had to cancel and re-think after a hardware failure, so here is the link to their new kickstarter campaign.

I'm also going to use the same reason for posting this thread here:

As a backer of Dangerous, I thought the Frontier music would appear, at least as an easter egg.

In an ideal world Frontier Developments would simply allow bolt-on soundscapes to E: D, so any artist(s) can transform the themescape to whatever they like; and we can have 'Classic' as well as modern themes to buy as content packs. Sound fun?

The issue. These things cost, and to do a proper job, with a real orchestra of instruments and sounds (not a fake desktop job) costs, and right now thats in the way of progress.

This Kickstarter aims to make those themes, AND OTHERS, and then we can have a few more possibilities.

Please Bump this thread!

Spread the Word! :)

thanks.

So, I'm very tempted to back it just for the fact that it's doing the Opening Theme from FFE, but can anyone tell me if it will have all of the classical pieces from Frontier and FFE included? It's not entirely clear on the kickstarter page (or maybe im just missing it).

Alas its just the main thme and the second theme as the classical peice are copyrighted to the estates of the original composers but the 1st and 2nd theme were unique peices written by dave lowe

the project is worth the back because of all the goodies you get including those two themes

Ah, that makes sense and was in the back of mind while asking. It was the Quality Quartet or some such wasn't it?

Still, I played a lot of those other games too, and I'd love to hear the remake of the two themes, so I'll back her as well :)

It sure has, so I'm going to try to keep this post alive until the deadline.

Just 7 hours to go. Now the kickstarter is finally backed you are guaranteed a product if you support it now. Win-win. :)

Up your pledge to get:

ADD ONS:

£10 - Frontier Single (CD?)

£15 - per extra T Shirt

£50 - Source Code Disk

At fooking last. XD

I've seen so much negativity for this particular kickstarter from the hoopleheads. Good to see it finally over the fundge.
