Here's a shocker for you then, people who play open, like I am guessing you do, but are not instanced with you, also affect your game.
All solo mode is, is people who will never be instanced with you.
It wasn't?:
You had, in bold - twice, to separate the modes.
That makes it a valid merge target. Editing it out now, does not solve a thing or remove the quotes people did from your request to mess with the modes. If your main issue is trust, then you should have talked about your lack of trust not whine about the modes.
Funny thing is, I *did* read your whole post, even quoted separate parts of it.Then I welcome to everyone who replied about the modes to just read the whole post next time, instead of just immediately replying when they see Open and/or Solo
There is a reason why when I deleted it, it didn't change anything about the point of my post. It was mostly about the current business practice with Open/Solo as a gripe.
Then I welcome to everyone who replied about the modes to just read the whole post next time, instead of just immediately replying when they see Open and/or Solo

You were getting beaten in your argument and tried to backtrack. If you were winning in the debate, you wouldn't have changed a thing.
I knew you were going to say that. That's why I didn't just remove it immediately when everyone started focusing on Open/Solo, because I knew people would say 'Haha I was beating you so now you just remove that part'
The point was NOT Open/Solo, but that's all you people saw.
I knew you were going to say that.
See how easy it is to claim something after it happens?
EDIT: I didn't know you were going to say that, I'm just making a point.
Jesus Christ, why do you people only want to argue? The point of my thread was not to start an argument with people who are rabid about 1 aspect of the game, but to try to let FD know that communication is not bad thing.
So if FD where to remove the influence of solo on open I would not shed a single tear.
It would not influence my enjoyment of the game.
But they do communicate, check out my last link in my sig.
It's the player base that does not listen, or only take part of it in and jump to conclusions afterwards.
There is a whole archives section on the forums - that can show you exactly what FD have been saying since the start.
So ... let me get this straight ... Your point now is that Frontier don't communicate?Jesus Christ, why do you people only want to argue? They're not going to tell you, me or anyone outside of Frontier, what they have planned until they are ready to do so.
They have two community mangers who engage with the community all the time.
They have their Executive Producer, Michael Brookes who posts on here all the time.
Various other employees from Frontier post on the forum all the time.
And you want to claim Frontier don't communicate?
Ah wrong type of communication ... in whose opinion? Yours? Do you have a degree in PR then? No? 'Nuff said. You told me that you read my OP. I'm tired of saying the same thing over and over. Everything is in the OP. It's not about the lack of communication, it's about the wrong kind of communication. If FD was doing everything right, they wouldn't have to communicate at all, look at Rockstar Games, you have no idea what they're working on, but everyone trusts they'll do a good job on whatever they're working on.

Oh and I don't trust Rockstar at all after all the times they've shafted the PC players in favour of the console kiddies.
R* have a LOT more disposable money to be able to get it right 1st time however....... and lets not get too rose tinted about it... from a PC perspective they have not gotten everything right. GTA IV was a terrible port to PC, infact up uptill number 5 they were all pretty poor ports imo..... and many people thought that as a game GTA IV was clunky and pretty damn dull. Personally I quite liked it but only after using a sledge hammer to make it run properly (ie a rig which did not exist on the games launch!).. but the controls were horrible, and often was a fight to make your character do what you actually wanted him to imo)
LA noire was locked at 30fps, and really it was only max payne when things started to look up in terms of PC getting some love imo.
I actually have a degree in general management, sales and marketing. Albeit I only graduated a year ago. So yes, I know how to communicate with consumers.

...and still people blindly get hyped to hell and back every time they announce something. So that means they're doing something right.
