Lets say that was true, that still doesn't indicate what we are supposed to discover about them, or how we would discover that about them

I dont get it, why would he write things like this? What does this say about kerrashs implied knowledge of the mystery, is it just speculation aswell?

We did have a bunch of threads split off early on. Keeping up with X different small threads turned out to be worse than keeping up with one big one, IMO.

WEll...

The guy's been to Frontier, talked about things and he feels quite pleased with himself about it (aka smug =p).

He's now gone to Reddit to post "his very own" AMA, enjoying the attention he's throwing in his own theories as "likely fact", pretty much the same as many of us do in this very thread! =p

Edit: Maybe he was the second drunk in the taxi. In which case there was no official FD person involved at all.

And it is completely, 100% reliable in its hints and theories, as we have just seen (and as we have seen in the various fake solutions from Reddit way back at the start). YMMV, I am happy here in one thread with biscuits and a wiki.

Edit: BTW there used to be several UA threads on Reddit way back at the start. They all died out after a month or two. This one has survived and has been active throughout.

The Thargs were humiliated by a Mycoid Virus produced by INRA, and spreaded all over them.
Spores.
Back to the Plague for a moment, then.

1) the UA was never sold at Newton Dock, because the "Cup of English Breakfast Tea" cure appeared immediately before we were doing it. And there are still people trying to find a cure there.
2) The UA destroyed inside a station did not complete its cycle: it was destroyed by accident hitting it. I still strongly think that the cycle MUST be completed for the UA to be effective. It's like when you have to mix two components to activate a glue or a medicine: If you do not activate, it is harmless or doesn't have any effect. Even if it blows up.

3) I think there is no need to let it die INSIDE a station: just in front of it. Remember that the UA knows if it is near a station or not, by the morse.

Umm, did you miss the part where the guy on Reddit says this was his own drunken speculation from a taxi ride?

Well, strictly speaking, Mass Effect had the Cerberus faction, which were basically trying to create human/alien hybrids in experiments. Apart from being Xenophobes as well.
So in a way there might (if you go with alien disease affecting humans and the name Cerberus) be an overlap to the story there and here.
Then again, this might just all be speculation about someone who had a great time being ambassador for a game at a game convention.
