Theory time.
First capital ship was built in Sol.
Probes have similar communication as the UA and have gone missing.
The capital ships never fly SC, so they never arrive at a nav beacon and then travel to the combat zones like we have to.
They just arrive at the location they want to. Aren't combat zones always near a celestial body?
If they are, then well, maybe that's how this thing travels. It can jump to any celestial body.
Maybe it can use nav beacon data to get the co-ordinates for the celestial.
After viewing several capital ship vids it does behave/display like the UA.
When they return to normal space it displays the same characteristics as an UA.
Same cloud, same particles, same distortion of space/time around it.
Now I hear also that the UA returns morse code for SOL but not the other celestial worlds or stations. Is this true?
Drew, in the first thread, gave cryptic clues, one of which I responded to and he responded back positively but we drew a blank ( haha no pun intended).
I thought at the time the clue pointed to Sol. I had good reasons to believe this.
I can't think of anything about the probes except maybe they act like some sort of beacon.
SS1 may have left our dimension and gone to visit the Thargoids who live in another dimension.
In some cruel twist, someone destroyed or hid the probes to prevent it returning but this is just a far out guess and conspiracy.
Basically what I'm trying to say is that the UA is an organic engine part for huge, powerful jump drives.
Currently only being used by capital ships, later, maybe (many seasons away), we get them for normal ships and w/e that brings.
So I think the answer is in Sol.
The 3 major factions are in an arms race to built all this new tech and get ahead of each other.
Something for me to ponder on.
I wouldn't have looked if someone yesterday didn't mention it but it got overlooked.
