I must say, while I completely disagree with leaving Open for taking other players on, there is a kind of poetic justice to it. CODE ganked traders who couldn't fight back. Now traders can fight CODE in a way they are equally powerless to stop.

Whether bug or not, it was something which was taken advantage of, and admitted by the player-cluster in question. I personally consider that a bug - it's a gaping hole in the lack of System Security mechanics within the game, one of many.

Who says this is not working as intended. I mean no police force is going to have an infinite number of staff, you will finally reach the limit of their resources. That is 1 argument as to why this is not a bug at all

I am offended because you accused David of trying to use the members in Mobius who have admitted they had issues as trying to illicit an "emotional response. I could have read it wrong, but way I read it was people have admitted they have issue and these two yokels come in and purposely go after others. Which is why those with issues had joined... to not deal with that. He wasn't trying to make it an emotional issue at all yet you brush it off and pretty much go" We have veterans in CODE, they don't have issues" as if every veteran is the same.

Allow me to clarify, I understand the condition of a veteran. However, using the status of veteran and what it entails as a legitimate argument that we should listen to them more in a video game does not seem like a very strong argument, to me. I take the words of veterans more seriously regardless of the environment, real life or video game, but that is my personal choice and I have respect of military-affiliated personnel, however, in a relatively-objective sense, it is not a strong argument in a video game.

Of course this is my personal opinion, as always.

CODE = live by the code of a pirate. though they need to have one that is consistent for all pirates. until this is done, they should change their title to (we almost live by the pirate code).

I understand the reason for that request and I will propose it to my group and see their reaction on the matter. I doubt I will see much opposition.

As an update, we currently have a super majority on outlawing mode invasion completely. This is defined as gaining trust of a group in the group mode and intentionally doing so only to enter and break the stipulated rules of said group. It is an immediate termination if we catch our members committing said act.

As a side note, some of our members wish to express that they are agreeing to the matter with hope that Mobius will only undermine our future minor faction in Open. I personally prefer that this is realized, as well. However, due to the inability to enforce such a promise, we hope to see some expression of good will from Mobius, at the very least.

You can indeed hope the players in Mobius take note of your request, but you have no reason whatsoever to expect it from them. Certainly not setting a minimum for the amount of good will. You should be happy with any scrap of goodwill. And have complete understanding when none is found after what some CODE members did.

I'm in Mobius group. Have never shot at another player when in Mobius because I know the rules of that group. I'm in Mobius group. Have never shot at another player when in Mobius because I know the rules of that group. Also, most of the time I don't see another player in there and when I do I treat it like a "holy cow!" black swan event - it's that rare. And I send out a friend request to them as well.

Like I said previously, it's independent of our decision to outlaw "mode invasion." Allow to my clarify, members in The Code that have not done anything nor are even aware of the Code Mobius situation wish to see goodwill expressed from Mobius. I personally am here merely to convey the update on the status of "mode invasion," I hope I didn't cause much confusion.

As a reminder, FD made it very clear that they will be adjusting the mechanic to prevent solo/group/open underming causing players to not be able to do anything to stop undermining efforts.

And they can't deny it after this. This stunt was 100% textbook behavior for them. They revel in this kind of game rule exploitation and used to do it daily in EvE. I know. I watched them, fought them, laughed at them, but mostly ignored them, but most of all I know their habits in great detail.

If, by some magical circumstance the Code in ED wasn't related to C.O.D.E, then the odds of them mimicking C.O.D.E.'s behavior so perfectly that the two groups are virtually indistinguishable at this time is the equivalent of that age old analogy of putting a bunch of monkeys in a room with some typewriters and eventually producing all of the literary works of Shakespeare applies perfectly to the statistical possibility of it happening.

They mirrored C.O.D.E.'s behavior, tactics, personality, and even their response to criticism to the Tee. Absolutely perfect.

What happened with the mode invasion was done by two members in the very distant past, and I have no interest in why was it done, since it isn't something we endorse.

Minor faction mechanics are being looked at to ensure that people won't get undermined unreasonably by using different modes, FD made it very clear.

Members who wish to see goodwill from Mobius are members that did not engage nor endorse any of the mode invasion activities, thus they wish to convey through me their look on the issue.

I believe I can ask the same, what has Mobius done that deserve goodwill?

I believe the two group should express mutual respect for both being player group and coexist in the game.
