Aside from scouting the Pleiades, I guess we have to wait now for the behaviour to change. Which will mean we'll still have to monitor the UAs and decode the Morse messages (if they still send Morse).


Hmm. Medical transports on secret missions. Are these new? Can they be related to the UAs?
Makes me wonder:
- Carrying Thargoid body for study somewhere? (alien autopsy!)
- Are the UAs spreading a plague to 'soften us up' before an Invasion?
- A secret military project using reverse engineered Thargoid technology?


As for first contact, considering some of the tests done on the UA probes, I wouldn't be surprised if they sent back stuff like this:

Of course they might be alien artists sending out probes so they can design cool paint jobs for us. Which they will etch on to our hulls with alien lasers...

So, back to tin-foily hat stuff, thinking out loud again.
We do know the 1.4UA is streaming images of our ships (why morse/vector images ? i have my thoughts about it, read below).
We do know the 1.3UA is streaming system names.
As far as i don't missed something on the three threadnaughts, we don't know what their behavior was in 1.2 right ?

Now getting to the thinking :
Maybe the cartographic mapping of occupied human space wasn't needed much probes, so 1.3 UAs were rare.
Now we know they are scanning our ships and that the UAs spawn rate have increased drastically .
Maybe because there's a lot of ship in human space, right ?
And also, maybe morse and vector images because, that much UA-probes transmitting data all over the human bubble, transmitting traffic reports, might be a huge amount of data to process... hence the low-fi and low-data consuming transmission protocol ?
Maybe Targhoids have some kind of Fair-Use from their ISP ? who knows, maybe they envy us our biscuits...

Anyway, we've been scouted that's for sure.
The whole thing is sounding like a nav-beacon to me, same goal and features so far (transmitting system name by morse, then transmitting traffic report in the immediate vicinity).
Why, we clearly don't know yet.

I still think we miss a piece of the puzzle, can't decide if future one, or past one (1.2 behavior ?).
Also speaking in term of technics : I haven't decided yet if the subsequent UAs behavior where triggered by FD on-the-go, without the need for a patch (implying all the necessary assets were already present in the current patch) or if they had/will activate new behavior and/or narrative arc with the next 1.5 patch, or even some hidden feature in a minor bug-fixing patch...

Next thing will be first to scout for something in Merope, like a station or an outpost, maybe a probe/UA launching ship ?
I'm so sorry i'm still in Sagittarius right now, all i want is to roam through Merope in the hope to find that hypothetic station/ship... or whatever it's in Merope that is of interest for the UAs...

BTW Anjin made an awesome painting, fake but awesome, repping him now.

I found the Cobra as well, but I think FD made a mistake in the drawing, because it is missing some pieces. I will not post it because it is awful.
