I'm not sure if anyone else agrees but since about version 1.37, Commodity Panel needs a little squeeze, I liked being able to use the scroll bar in the 'Game Commodities' screen when OCR'ing, now I can't.
I don't think it's helping that the OCR app is getting prices wrong randomly either.

Is there anything you can do about it?

I think you will find Elite OCR sometimes confuses "6" and "8" because the ED font is not really very good for these numbers.

Have you trained Elite OCR as per seeebek's (the creator of Elite OCR) instructions? I found this helped considerably but it does not eliminate all the "6" and "8" errors. Also, sometimes re-scanning the page will correct the errors or you can do it manually.

Please 'hide' then the panels, move the Panel Position window to one border. If they partially obsure the window again, click on the window to show it on top of them.

Normally the focus changes back to the game window after clicking on 'Start OCR Scan' button. You should be able to use the mouse wheel to scroll to the next page, while TCE processes the last scanned page.

Is anyone else having this problem? TCE will occasionally just lock up on me and stop responding. I'll still get popups when I enter a new system, but he main panel is non-interactive. Sometimes it happens as soon as I start, other times after 10 mins or so, and other times it will just run well for hours unless I try to ude something other than database, trade or commodity. Verbose is on, and I've re-imported my database (thinking that might fix any errors in there), but the only "fix" appears to be using task manager to kill excel and starting again and hoping for the best.

I'm using Excel 2013 (fully patched), Windows 10 (same), and VoiceAttack. I've opened up permissions on the TCE directory and subs...I'm clueless what might be causing this.

Got this up and running....great program....
however, I can not bring myself to use it with the limited resolution capability...drives me nuts not running the highest resolution in ED....
Below is my current monitor - any suggestions as to how to make it work with higher resolutions?

Hard to say.
Did the taskmgr says "Excel not reponding", when its locked?
My assumption is your excel version. Some users found its version unusable after the Win 10 update.
Please check this post from a LBITB.
Perhaps it could help you too.

What happens, if you using your highest resolution?
What is your desktop resolution (not game)?
Please more details.

Hi Eventure !

I got a problem with OCR... I just can't get it working. Everything else is working fine, but when I'm scanning with OCR, it scans normally, but then, nothing appears...

Good news today, i nearly finished the rework of the Main panel.
In addition, i reworked completely the Star System Summary panel too and created a Credit Balance Panel.

Now lets have a look (NAV, Cash and Summary minimized):

The expand direction (top or bottom) depends on where the panel resides at your screen. It will be fully adjusted by moving the panel to the top or bottom.I will try to add this to the Main panel too.

Now lets take a look at the new Star System Summary panel in detail:

The (i) button shows some details about stations or locations. The triangle button selects the station or location as your destination.
In addition, you can now add a star system note from here.

Oh wow, I'll have to download it here in about a week :(

But it looks great Will help definitely with my smuggling routes, having to remember everything and going through notebook paper is such a nuisance -.-

What are your language setting of OCR?
Please change your language to english (TCE OCR and game) and make another try. Could be a parameter issue with the translation.

Hi Eventure,

Could you please include something like "TDM needed if using version x.xx or older" every time you release a new version (beta or not)?

I am on version 1.49 and guessing I'd need to use TDM, but if you could include that statement in your releases, it would help folks that don't update their version with every release.

Sure, will do. But as a basic rule:
For any "Full-Version", you want to install, that differs from your TCE version present, needs TDM.
Any "Update" from a full-version you don't need TDM.

I am having an issue with 1.53.2
It's probably something that I am doing that's stupid, but it is making it impossible to use TCE at the moment.
I do a market scan and save the prices. Then TCE has "Processing paused" above the cartography button for ages. The only way I can seem to get it to respond again is by opening task manager in Windows.
Also, when I click on Cartography button, a black window appears which I cannot do anything with.
1.52 was working fine for me so I have no idea what I have done that has broken things :(

Nope - didn't fix it - I just moved the cartography panel and it's gone black again :(

In the main, I think a lot of the problems I was having were fixed by a re-install. However, I am still getting the black cartography screen quite frequently. Has anyone else had this issue ?
