What ever happened to the lost Exploration Data from 03/10 -05/10?

Was this issue actually resolved or have FD just swept it under the carpet & ignored it, cos it only effects Explorer's!

Incoming 1.4.01 update!....Oh dear, better rush for my 'tin hat'

I haven't been getting, and i'm out exploring jumping many times per hour.

Man! I wish. I spend anywhere from 15 seconds to over a minute in which space. I have even had some go higher but the averages seem to be between those. I'm in the U.S., East coast. I'm guessing server response times. That delay is what made me not do the Sothis runs. On Sunday, I thought I would give Sothis one more chance. Hopped in an ASP and two 20-30 second jumps in, I noped out. I definitely won't be doing any trading.

They really should focus on all the current bugs and not only the horizons update... that is definitely annoying and keeps me away from further spending money into this "bugged" game...

I´m so suprised... you can´t imagine...
Why are you surprised? 'twas ever thus. This is the company that released 1.0 with all sorts of gaps in the functionality, and instead of fixing those gaps they focussed on new 'shinies' (wings, CGs, powerplay). It is the way they operate. This close to Christmas, with a big, big, moneyspinner for FD that has to be landed, as many resources as possible will be focused on Horizons.

Thank you for all the information Zac! Truly appreciated!

Is there any info (by chance) on why Galnet has been so... empty... lately? We didn't hear about the Coronation (in game) until ~after~ it happened, and since then there were what, 1 or 2 more entries
about PP/economics and 1 about ship lights. Just a tad empty me thinks.

The fiction needs some lovin' too! :)

But wouldn't this be easier?

Not exactly rocket science.

Seconded - this seems such a small fix to make, for something that should never have got through the QA team, and certainly not into live.

And yes it is a trivial thing, but it adds to the overall 'rushed' impression, along with the 10cr perma-repair.

As the great Fun Boy Three and Bananarama said...

Gutted about this, the opinion seem fairly divided and the negative feedback has dropped off as people have got used to it. I suspect this will now lead to posts complaining about giving into the complainers and making the game to easy

The (imo completely justified) complaints died down because FD had already announced this change in advance, so further complaining became rather futile until the change goes live and is seen in action.

SORRY!

I've corrected the answer. The ranks are 5 and 7 respectively.

Sorry about the confusion. :)

I sense a disturbance in the force, as if billions suddenly let out a gasp of relief and then went silent again.

Hey guys,

The dev team have got in touch this morning with some answers to the questions on the thread.

===

- Supercruise frame rate dropping – This is still being investigated
- Stuck in hyperspace – There are known issues with hyperspace that we're looking into. However, if you might need to submit a bug report for your specific issues
- NPC AI – The team will be looking into this for 1.5
- SMAA – Will be looked into for 1.5
- Long range smuggling missions – These have been balanced so that they are not so common, these may be adjust further as necessary
- Medium hardpoint problem on the assault ship - This is a known issue and one that we're working on
- Repair all 10cr issue – Also a known issue
- Disconnects while mining - This should be fixed in this update. If after the update you're still having issues, submit a bug report and we'll look into it. :)

Other information for you all.

Why is the patch small?

The patch itself is only a minor one for a few reasons. The first is because of the stress test we've found and fixed a lot of potential issues early. We're also focusing on Horizons at the moment and finally because we’re focusing on improving the process in which we update these bugs. Allowing for more detailed investigation to avoid fixes which then cause knock on bugs.

Interdictions - What changes are being made?

After listening to player feedback the Devs have made the interdictions slightly easier. These were mentioned in last week's Dev Update. :)

1st discoveries saying "Validating"

This is a known issue for 1st discoveries by Xbox players. The name is being recorded and the team are working on resolving the displaying issue

What is the new mission templates?

New Mission Templates is confirmation of the earlier server side change to make Long Range Smuggling missions rarer – Sandy’s post here :- https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=193353. This is something we’re balancing continuously.

What are the rank changes mentioned in the patch note?

The Rank for the Federal Assault Ship is 5 and the Federal Gunship is 7

What is the speculative fix for mining hopper?

This is to address disconnection issues.

Thanks

Zac

Thanks for the update. But still totally disappointed in the progress you are making on fixing bugs. You are spending too much time on the next release instead of fixing what we already have.

1.5 will be released the same day as Horizons.

I know, that was a gentle way to say that i'm pretty disapointed with the way bugs are being fixed and to tell the truth i think that the realease of Xbone version and the time to fix bugs on this support may be the why this patch note is so small.

Hope for tonight stream to flush down my negative feeling about all this :p

Keep up the good work devs :) Loving the game so far !

About framerate issues with AMD cards, in my case they go away when Iturn "orbit display" off.

I only rarely see spinning npc's so yeah I am a bit curious as how people are seeing as many as there seems to be a claim for? is it really this bad?

It does seem to be quite common, I'd say about 10% of AI I attack do it, some only for a short while, some just do it until dead.

gree

Thanks, but if you can fix the framerate drop in Supercruise, that would be great. Makes the game unplayable.

They need to fix the frame Rate for normal flight extemly badly for the Xbox One, not got the problem on PC play, my problem and all other friends and those I have communicated with in game all say the same thing and most don't bother playing at all and want their cash back lol..My problem is all my pals don't own or none are a PC nut job, like me So I have to play if want to be with pals on the Xbox version, and the frame rates especially in combat or Asteroid belts really dismal like I mean almost like playing this game on a mini PC made in 1980.. lol :eek:

I see this every day in Crime Sweeps or High RES. The only good thing is... i can pile them because of their foolishness

Yeah tried that did not work even tried it on a fresh format. not drivers something has gotten broken in the game.

Yep the game enigne is broken like it was with the SC Stuttering Bug... i´ve already made a suggestion to hide some programmer proffesianal but there seems to be no money for that.

It seems AMD related, hopefully they will fix it fast though, that said have you tried turning down graphics? is there any point where FPS jumps up? asking because it might be that it could help zero in on the bug and get it fixed faster
