Summary of the Q&A with David Braben

thank you for this post! i was close to cutting that piece time out of gaming time to watch the q&a myself, now i don't need to do that! :)

What changed about trading? Now that we know the keelback is no trader, it's official, not a single new trading ship since release l. Not one.

Thank you for the summary. My ISP data cap unfortunately does not allow me to watch anything but the shortest video clips.

if it is like argued with good reasons in this thread, that

a) a srv needs cargo space

and

b) there is a seperate "PAS" modul

this will kill especially the DBE for exploration including planetary landings. 2 scanners, 1 fuelscoop, pas, cargo for srv = 5 internals. Shield= 6 internals. AFMU = 7 internals. the smallest ship with 7 internals is an Asp.

Thanks for taking the effort to do this.

Having just bought the 980TI of my dreams (after saving up for AAAAAGGEESSSS!) I'm really excited about the prospect of new graphics options - Ring shadows / multiple light sources etc. I suspect with Christmas approaching more people will be feeling the same way :).

Imagine: Standing on a planet surface looking at the two different coloured shadows cast by your body and eclipsing rings spanning the skyline.
I have faith in the F D team to deliver this one day :)

Really appreciated David making a concerted effort not to miss anyone's questions - that was cool.
To Ed: In the future it might be worth freezing the questions list just before live and then you can put your phone into airplane mode + there's no chance of missing questions due to votes reordering them :)

Imho there should be a class 2 scanner that combines the functionality of ADS and DSS into a single module.

Hey, Frontier!

I enjoyed the Q&A session, and I appreciate this is supremely optimistic, but is there any chance somebody in the know could give a quick and dirty (Yes/No/Maybe/Soon/Its on the list) text response to the remaining questions?

As great as the session was, its obviously a bit frustrating if none of the question that you're especially interested in come up.

I know, that's life, but you can't blame a chap for trying. :)
