D
Having participated in all Kaushpoos CGs and grinded my rear off to get the Station going in the Pleiades, I remembered it should be there now.
Checking it out in the Galaxy Map, however, I found out it's a Pirate Hub ????!?

What the [insert expletive]

Did Frontier really take a Project of the Canonn (which was supposed to be an Exploration and Science hub for them the way I understood it before it got a go) - and then hand it all over in a convinient Package to some Pirate Player Faction?
Somebody tell me they did NOT do that ??!

Well played, Frontier... well played on that betrayal!
I certainly didn't see that one coming.

I'll derive my personal consequences from that one, however. That's one step too far for my taste. Weeks over weeks of hard grind... to effectively build a Pirate nest.

I headed there myself yesterday, thinking that a remote outpost like this one could use some security.
Then I found out it was an Anarchy system...

I thought, ok let's see the bulletin board! The only interesting missions were long-haul ones, wich I couldn't access since I need to make friends with those pirates first.
Basically I got nothing to do in Maia, can't even go have another look at the black hole because of a major exploration bug wich makes previously scanned bodies vanish from your radar...

Yeah, agreed Falcon, given some of the historic and lore rich systems Frontier have given to player factions as their 'base' nothing is going to surprise me any more sadly.

Eh either way oh well. But tbh, we already have one space game driven by player factions, we don't need another. I didn't buy ED to join a clan, I bought it because I want to do what I want and enjoy a unique experience mostly by myself.

Does this player faction named station irritate me? No. But what confuses me is it makes it seem like that group did more than everyone else in the CG. Ya its lame but it doesn't effect me and I'll probably never visit that system anyways considering how many there are in colonized space alone.

Can someone provide a screenshot of the system map, displaying the anarchy?

So I guess I won't be selling whatever I can sell from planetary exploration in Maia after all. Was intended to be my final stop.

Is it given to a player faction? Surely not. Pirate or no, no player faction should be 'in charge' of a community created Orbital.

Was there and back again today in my combat capable exploration Vulture, the "Ronin." :)

Ended up just taking a few of the courier type missions back to the bubble while scanning some additional systems and popping mission related interdictors on my way.

I'm sure I'll be back sooner or later.

Where lies the betrayel in this? Does it matter who "controls" the station. You can still dock there you know.

When you think about it, it makes no sense that a place - that far from anything - should be heavily controlled place in the first place.
You have the option to work towards a flip of control to another faction there also.

In any case, that station will not be more or less dangerous anything else.

Science and exploration you say - High tech they say
Pirate hub you say? No its not its Anarchy - Anarchy does not equal pirate hub. That far out and a 25000 population makes sense that it is an anarchy. ISS perhaps is an example what would you say is the government type of the Commune that is the ISS? what would you call it?

Its seems to me on the ISS (and even on earth at Antarctic bases) there is an absence of government so arguably you could call them anarchies

its a brand new, minimal population station miles from anywhere so it seems to me that an anarchy would be right and the same could be said about Obsidian Order
