************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Selecting continue and closing NAVIGATION PANEL then reopening NAVIGATION PANEL gives this error.

CLOSED_NAV_AND_THEN_GET_THIS_ERROR_WHEN_RE_OPENING_NAV.png

NAVIGATION PANEL opens normally, however STAR SYSTEM list is blank until I go through the other tabs and then go back to the STAR SYSTEM TAB.

It appears Searching for anything with a ' in it causes this error. So search for TA'SAR and the error is about SAR.

UPDATE ON BLACK SCREEN ISSUE:

Booting up whilst running the game (due to the above error, I restarted TCE) I get the BLACK SCREEN 6 TIMES. 5TH instance lasting around 15 seconds, the others being 1 to 5 seconds of black screen. I've tried this on 4 occasions, recreating the above issue.

I just of today started getting Black Screens when TCE is updating data. The game screen is totally black and and three pop-up panels (WAYPOINTS; CREDITS; SUMMARY) are black as well. The period of time it is black for is between 2 and 5 seconds then all is OK again. it doesn't happen every time, it happens every time after CONNECTING.

I've seen this before but it's usually happened so infrequently it wasn't worth reporting. I'll monitor more carefully during todays gaming session, and report back.

TCE during the update consumes 20% CPU bandwidth, however I rarely get to 100%, most of the time total CPU usage is between 85% and 97%.

SYSTEM BUILD: http://valid.x86.fr/qqrdyq

Hi Eventure

I also get this blackout but mainly when I jump into a system and it can be any system (been to before/not been before) and as above it last for 2-5 sec
it is random it may not happen for two or three jumps or so was not sure if it was my system or not (have triple screen for ED plus two other's)
coursing the problem.

thanks dee..

Thanks for reporting, seem to be a multi-monitor issue, because I didn't have that problem. It could come from high process loads (many, many calculations) so the UI freezes. Moved the big calculations into a new thread to minimize such behavior. I will send you both a test version of the 1.1.9 when ready to check, if it happens again.

Hi

I've flown to Ngaliba : Nordenskiold Landing. TCE communicated that it had successfully connected and processed information but no prices are downloaded to the database that I can see. I have flown to the other Market in this System and got prices there so it appears to be a problem unique to Nordenskiold Landing
no prices.jpg
Note that under 'Last Update' it says NO DATA. I get prices in Elite Dangerous so is it an EDMC or TCE problem. I suppose I manually enter details for this station?

Thanks for any suggestions.

When this happens, EliteOCR is your best friend to add the commodities to TCE. Install and set the path in TCE for it, go to the Commodities panel of TCE, into Scan Prices to scan each page of the commodities listed in ED.

Wonder what's the cause for this. I have triple-mon, too, and absolutely no probs with the latest version...

So when you guys say 'multi monitor' do you mean using 3 at once, like via nvidia surround or eyefinity, or do you mean 2 monitors, one showing the game and one showing other stuff?

I am using nvidia surround with 3 monitors and have had no trouble at all.

I didn't have that problem too, so I assume that is a multi-monitor problem (more than one monitor for playing ED).
Thanks for adding your reports.

Seconded, to be clear. Playing in 5760x1080, via eyefinity / r9 390, latest crimson beta. So no AMD/NVIDIA thing.
Fairly big database, too (609 reg. markets).

Hi

Im slowly getting to grips with using TCE -- i really like it, but its taking me time to get to know how to work it. I have a trade route Ive been using for a while and after visiting both drop points TCE suggested a different commodity as part of the route. It was right and it did make me more money -- so yippee! i love that :)

One thing i can't seem to work is how to stop a trade route, I wanted to do that to see if there was anything better. But I can't see where to stop the current route. There is a button there when I start the route, but it isn't there when I want to stop it.

I hope you know what I mean, I could get a couple of screen shots if you wanted.

Thanks for all your mega work -- I'm heading to paypal now :)
Edit -- can't find where to send a donation :)

Hello there,

you can stop a trade route, where you started it, at the Route Finder or Planner panel. The donation button is at the Options panel, near the HIDE button, if you like.

Hi

Sorry maybe I didn't make it clear. I can't see the "Stop route" button. I have looked on both the finder and planner screens, but its not there. Would a screenshot help?

Thanks

Perhaps I misunderstood, but if you started a trade route, the START TRADE ROUTE button turns to a STOP TRADE ROUTE button, as follows:

OK thanks a lot -- Ill check again when I get home. Im pretty sure that I could not see a stop button (I tried to look really hard [smile]).

Thanks again

Hi Eventure,

I'm getting errors with tce here's a screenshot of statup:

starterror.jpg

The station info panel either remains blank or tells me I need to start elite dangerous even though I have the game running already.
I start and end my game sessions in the same station so would this entry be corrupted in the db files?

Also Is there a way to view the content of the database files so I can look through it to see if any data has been corrupted on input?
I don't want to use the TCE program to view the DB files as it takes way too long to open up where as a standalone editor would only take a few seconds.

Any help appreciated,
Argonaught.

Hello Argonaught,

to view the databases, I use SQLiteStudio and it is free. To find your problem, please send me your database and EDMC_data folder to eventure(at)ki.tng.de.

Thanks

Just started using this... so chances are I'm going over something already known. (Spent about an hour or two trying to find others reporting the same though.)

After getting the overlay to run, the bottom portion of the Main UI isn't scaling with Panel Size. End result is that I can get the top Main UI to (almost) fit my resolution, but the bottom windows are stuck about a third from the bottom. This is with two monitors, a primary running at 2560x1440 and a secondary running 1920x1080. The secondary monitor is for out of game usage. TCE2 was tested with both Admin and standard launching. Modifying the "panel size" of Waypoints, Credits, and Summary does make them bigger, but does not reposition the anchor point for the next panel to the right.

Hello Freyar,

you can move all panels by click&hold onto the panel name. For the bottom panels, they have to be open to move them and you can move them also to the top. They will adapt accordingly.

Trying to get my head around rares route planning. But I can't get it to work.
I have modified the market data for a system to include a ware.
I have tried to populate the rare panel with details of a rare, however the rare already existed, and I can't modify any of the fields.
I go to the market on the route planner, and the rare is not listed.

Can you help me please, what am I missing?
