Green particles when hyper spacing (not a bug)

Was travelling through hyperspace when above my ship I started seeing strange green particles going in the same direction as everything else. Ship: AspX. Unknown system. I couldn't grab a screenshot because I was in full screen, sorry.

If anyone knows what this is, please let me know! They're not there in other Hyper jumps

All my heating on my hardware is within the 35°C mark, so not much there. I have the latest drivers from GeForce. My ship was at full health, no cargo. Just jumping around to HIP 10716 via the system HARM (which could have ended painfully, pun intended ;)). They showed up outta nowhere! My graphics settings are on Max except for ambient occlusion. That seems to kill my fps and I have no idea why.

I had this with one of the older GTX cards. The heat paste wasn't distributed evenly and the chip was overheating locally, although the heat monitor didn't notice anything. It was making green dots over my screen, mainly in black areas, so that's why it is first thing that came on my mind.

Oh right. I'm using two evga 970s in SLI (dual fanned). When I saw the particles it looked like a game particle rather than a mass of pixels. It was a spherical particle... Kinda like... What can I relate it to... Uh... Poison bubbles or something, coming out at me from hyperspace. I'm sure it is a game 'feature' rather than a fault on my behalf, but you never know :)

Unless a dev wants to inform me otherwise, the hyperspace transitions are just prebaked loading screens. They don't change at all, so I'm gonna go with the usual "video or it never happened".

I see them in hyperspace regularly. When I was out exploring, I noticed they were more likely to be seen when near a system with ammonia worlds or ammonia based life. Of late, I've been seeing them more and more around my stomping grounds near the edge of the human bubble.

I'm not saying they're Thargoids, but ..... they are Thargoids.

And the red ones, they're the other aliens that even the Thargoids run from.

You say you have the latest nvidia drivers? Thats your problem right there.. They have many issues.. Do a search on google

I know exactly the greenish things you mean. Not noticed any specific pattern to when they appear. But every so often while in the "tunnel" you will see a green tinted light fly past.

They look exactly the same as the other 2 lightsource particles you always get during the jump. But just with a greenish tint.

Definately not an overheating/corruption thing. Those tend to be smaller random squares of a quite saturated green that appear sharp on top of the on-screen graphics. These green thingys are motion blurred and moving and are most certainly an intended game effect.

Although I don't know I'd jump to the conclusion it's Thargoids. I'd just assumed it was one of the variations of the witchspace animation, there's at least 3 or 4 noticably different ones.

Would be interesting in seeing a screenshot of this. It's possible that your GPU had a bad render come on. Attempted a repair via the patcher client?

I've been seeing green blobs flying past in hyperspace since 1.4, I assumed it was intended FX. Unknown artefact mother-stars maybe.

I had a planet follow me in to hyperspace more than once. Lol

I get lots of blue particles. Not noticed any green ones though.
That's on an old HD 6870 1GB, and a ATI Mobility Radeon M5650 or something.

I have recently started to see green orbs flashing by in witch space, with some regularity. I'm pretty sure they are a new thing.

Edit: using old GeForce mobile graphics card
