Launcher request: Game mode window.

Good idea.

By the way on my launcher, the order of the options change yesterday. Horizons main game always used to be at the very top, but it has now been demoted and I I am seeing ED 32 bit as the first line and ED 64 bit as second line. No idea what has caused this.

Yeah, same here as well. Probably what prompted this entire thread.

Same here, plus the launcher's color theme changed from Horizons blue back to defauld ED orange.

Make sure you are launching Horizons 64 bit (as opposed to just Elite 64 bit . H64 is now down towards the bottom of the list). Once you do that the colors will change to blue.

Nah, it doesn't matter its just gone orange and wont go back for me and I never play base Elite.

My idea would be to outright hide all non-installed versions and replace them with a single list item (at the bottom) for "show available" to pop up a list to choose which additional versions to install.
...along with some indicator to let us know when additional modules have been made available. ("module list last updated" or something).

Yes, OP, it would be a good idea. Actually I have another problem with this. I have my mouse wheel set up to scroll by five rows at a time and as the game version window only fits three rows, I simply can't scroll through them without jumping some, especially now with betas I have eight different versions and, naturally, by Murphy's law, the two versions I play are in the middle, so I have to scroll down once, then grab the slider and carefully slide it back up to be able to play. :D

Hello,
Have not come across this problem yet. I just click play on the launcher and it brings me straight to Horizons 64bit. I got caught out when I first installed the new launcher when 2.1 beta went live and thought something was wrong when it showed me the orange launcher screen. But after the 1st time I selected and launched Horizons, the launcher went back to the blue and black screen, and now the default selection for me is Horizons 64bit.

P.S.: I have not installed any of the Beta stuff but I do have ED 32 bit installed.

Have fun, fly safe. o7

Good call OP. FD could easily use some of the other screen real estate to solve this. Do I need a full length window advertising bobbleheads? Heck No!

Realistically, I doubt they'd even need give up space; they could just increase the size of the launcher window. Is anyone actually launching the game from a resolution so low the window couldn't be bigger?

Actually yes. My laptop has 1366x768 and before they've fixed it, I couldn't see the Launch button :D
Even now it takes up the whole screen vertically.

What if we put in a game option via the launcher to select a 'default game' from the available options?
Hi Brett,

Check boxes beside each selection to display the games in the selector box we want with an option (in menu) to display hidden options in case we ever want to change our minds.

I was bored, and please excuse my handwriting.
