Release Trade Computer Extension Mk.II

Hi Eventure

I keep getting this problem when upgrading TCE but not sure if it's TCE or ED and it's updates that is coursing the problem
as soon as updates are done (tce update 1.3.2) tce does not recognise the station I'm at if I go back to the old version
it will see the station and it's not only the start up station just flew to Shinrarta Dezhra - Jameson Memorial and it does
not recognise that too.

thanks dee.

Just been to two other station and it's the same there I have tried to modify the station but that does not work the only way so far is to
delete the station and re-do it as a new one.

Please try the following, if TCE don't recognize your current market/location:
- Open the Database panel.
- Select Modify Entry.
- Select the market/location, you are currently.
- Click onto Actual Coordinates.
- Edit Sector ID, if it is not the same as shown at the Position Display.
- Click on the SAVE button.

Thereafter TCE should display the market/location at the Position Display.

Eventure, I have the similar problem. Been away for a couple of weeks but updated TCE today. Been to three locations but my Database has different coordinates than shown by TCE now. Under Modify Market, I have clicked on the 'Actual Coordinates' box and then saved.

But I am worried that all my markets have shifted coordinates. Is there any way to check?

We had a localization issue with the position coordinates for planetary markets and locations for quite some time, so the position coordinates for planetary locations and markets have to be updated.
The issue should not affect space stations, because they do not share identical sector IDs.

It seems to affect space stations as well. I've been to 3 space stations that I have visited within the last 2 weeks, and every one has it's coords off. It is easy to change via the database/markets/modify then click on 'actual coords', but it looks like that will have to be done everywhere. Not a huge issue to me though.

Hi Eventure

Thanks for that why ED has changed/moved some of the station for gets me..

Speaking of general detection of locations/markets, located on planets. The coords for space stations are not so important, only a visual issue, if they differ or are wrong. Beside that, they will differ mostly everytime for all locations, because your docking location may differ each time. But for planetary locations the coords are very important to detect the location at last, because they sharing the same sector ID.

Frontier changes from time to time some locations (sectors, names, type of stations). Just recognized at a system, changing all stations and names, but the sector locations are the same. But I was not at the system for more than a year, so I don't know, when Frontier changed it.

Hi Eventure

Just a request any way you can put a count in for visit to a station the same way you have for star system?

thanks dee.

I see what you are saying, but what is happening is I'm docking at the station and TCE doesn't know I'm there. Once I go in to database/market/modify and click the new coords, it recognizes me as being at the station.

That should not happen for space-based stations and I like to check your issue myself, where the problem is. If it happens again, please exit TCE and restart it again, checking if it is the same or not.
If TCE didn't find your current location again, please send me your database folder and your session netlog file before upoating the position, if you like. I will check then, what a problem we have here.

Sometimes FDev changing stuff at a star system and the sector IDs are no longer the same as before. But you can see such issue, because the sector ID, displayed at the Position Display differs from the stored one at your database.

Uh, that should be no problem, but I can't find a place, where to display. I see only a little room at the Trade Overview panel. Do you have a hint, where to display?

Flown today to Blaha Statation and Poleshchuk Station in Guangul
Curtis Outpost in Ross 1057
Novitski Oasis in Arbuda
Blaha Enterprise and Merbold Ring in EQ Pegasi

Guangul stations and Ross 1057 station were in my TCE database before but not recognised when I landed. The stations had the correct Sector ID but the coordinates were wrong.

This morning I reinstalled TCE, starting with v1.3.0, followed by each update. V1.3.0.1 and V1.3.0.5 wanted to upgrade the database and this carried out OK.
V1.3.2 wanted to upgrade the database but this is where TCE seems to have got the coordinates wrong.

I don't suppose that it is too important as I can modify each station as I revisit it.

On the last upgrade I asked it not to upload 'unregistered stations' in case this was causing a problem. I now find that I have to type in a lot of information for each new station. Is there a way for me to put unregistered stations back into my database?

Also can anyone tell me the difference between Coriolis Starport A and Coriolis Starport B; also Orbis Starport A , B and C?

You can copy the default unregistered database from the TDM folder into your DB folder and rename it to .db, but if you reimport your current database, TCE will ask you again to include the markets, and here you click YES.
All variants differ only in appearance, nothing more.

Yes, it happened again. I was using the 'best buy' and found the location to go buy what I needed. When I got there and landed, the current location showed as I had not been there, and the destination still said where I now was (something like 300LS away). I shut down TCE and started, but it still did not recognize where I was. I did not update the coords in TCE. I emailed you my netlog and DB.

Hi Eventure

Yes there's not much space left and you only need to show it for the station your docked at so in the Station info box you have name of system and station top left you have Allegiance so underneath that.

thanks dee...

just thought in the summary box add a third line under Class, Scoop----- State, Locations------ New line Station Visit, Visit Date, Last update,------

Update (1.3.3) released:

Changelog:
- Added position data selection to the Location Database panel.
- Added credit/hr for the session to the Credit panel.
- Added number of visits for markets and locations to the Position Display.
- Fixed a bug not detecting space stations, stored before V1.3.2, at the position detection routine.
- Optimized the display position of service icons at the Trade Overview panel.

Note:
Copy the content into your TCE folder to update your version.

Hi,

I think this tool just amazing, but after enabling Horizons and update to 1.3.2 a green thick border appears on all frames of TCE and any window opened after it.

I applied 1.3.3 expecting this issue had gone but it is still there.

I use a NVidia GTX 560 Ti, Windows 7 and DX11.

Regards

Can you show me a screenshot of your issue? No one else reported anything like this.
Thanks
