Nebula colors are really nice and the nebula itself sits on the edge of a Neutron field.

EDIT: When docking at Jaques Station, the srv's refuel which is very nice. Station offers at least this service.

I'm gonna be out there. Skeptical about finding barnacles but I'm looking anyway. I can't not given Jaque landed himself in a cluster of nebulae, in a system with multiple barnacle candidates! If we could get this station up and running at least with repair services, hopefully with universal cartographic services it would make for a sweet home system.

PS: oh also I'm convinced the station is inhabited by aliens or some type of fringe society unknown to the rest of humankind.

witch space = hyperspace. You travel through it every single time you high jump.

Thargoids pull you out of witchspace into the territories between systems (historically - this is very much at risk for retconning - as everything related to thargoids is).

Dropping the DSS loses you nothing but a minute or two of shooting at some rocks to see if a ring is Metal-Rich or Metallic. That far out, they're all pristine, and the ones that are Icy or Rocky are pretty obvious at a glance.

I will gear up one of my CMDRs (Python) for mining/exploration and head out to Jaques. Does Jaques offer repair btw? Or is that out of the question for now?

Not yet we have to get meta alloys out here first to repair it.

Ok... I'll fetch some of those as well! Thankfully I know where to buy them.

I need to coordinate this between my three commanders though... but I hope to be on the way with one of them tomorrow or on Sunday...

On that note... what do I do with the Meta-Alloys when I get there... just sell them or?

Yeah just sell them on the commodities market at the station.

Freelance Report: The Jaques Rescue Mission 01 JUL 3302

Recent reports indicate that a coalition of independent pilots has coordinated a mission to deliver meta-alloys to Jaques Station. A spokesperson for the group issued the following statement:

"We need your help, Commanders! Everyone's favourite cyborg barman Jaques has been discovered by Commander CLY in the Eol Prou RS-T D3-94 system."

"Pilots are gathering in Maia for what will be the longest single-stop trade run in galactic history. Their mission is to deliver meta-alloys to Jaques Station and repair the damage done by the Unknown Artefacts."

"In the interest of speed and efficiency, many pilots are flying Asp Explorers. Outfitting options vary between eight and 16 tonnes of cargo, and large fuel scoops are common among the intrepid rescue party."

"The mission's first waypoint has been designated as synufai pi-i c26-8. Further systems along the route will be announced soon."

So, is there an organized trip happening, then? 'Cause I detoured over to synuefai pi-i c26-8 (I couldn't find synufai) just in case.

Can you obtain more than 7 Meta alloys at Darnielle's progress? Am wondering if it works like rare goods, no new spawns if you reach your max allocation.

Well yeah but we all know that's really not what's happening here. We're basically seeing NPCs behaving as they're programmed to, spawning only because there's a station present within that system. Same goes with the Nav beacon. Besides, how'd he get it over there if the station is so badly damaged? And what for, anyway? he onyl knew he was by a gas giant near a purple gas nebula, he gave no other indications as to where his location is.

I mean, I bet that if you go to the RES, wanted NPCs will spawn, even. Like, seriously?? Come on Frontier, you could've surprised us far more with this XD The station should've been by itself, visibly malfunctioned, perhaps even inside as well.

But again, game limitations. I suppose it wasn't possible to add all of these differences without changing up large amounts of code.

There are no game limitations when you control the code. Only developer limitations.

when i arrived, the commodity market had a demand for 326 Meta Alloys, after selling my 285, this fell to 41, but rebounded to 255 rather quickly, it has since fallen to 224, this may be an indicator that he needs 4 times the indicated number to repair the station, if so, we are 896 Meta Alloys short, the Meta Alloys must flow!

It isn't a rare so I am assuming you can gather as much as you want. A recent galnet article is alluding to people gathering some up from there.

I'm headed out there in my Corvette to help with combat oriented stuff though so loading on extra MAs would have made my trip take way to long.

There is no max allocation, the meta alloys are released 7T at a time every 10 minutes, use an egg-timer set to 10 minutes to gather as many as you like, at 42 per hour.
i used an alternate account and an old laptop to gather 285 before i went out there.

I'm on my way with an Asp I built especially for the occasion. 9 whole tons of meta-alloys should get there Sunday or Monday if I don't faceplant a star on the way - I'm just over 3k outside the bubble, never been this far out before

Stuff like this is probably why we don't have more than one commander slot right now lol. That and you can really slam the BGS like that.

multiple CMDR slots would not have made a difference, since i doubt they'd let us play 2 CMDRs on the same account simultaneously, with multiple accounts, that's not an issue.
