"Align" ship with trajectory...

Bumping this a bit.

I get what you guys are saying with the nose not pointing in the right direction. Unfortunatly this is happening a few times a day for me where i'm just boosting straight forward and not changing my vector but i still won't enter supercruise untill after a few seconds. The worse one happened today where i got murdered by an NPC where my ship just kept going forward without entering supercruise.

This happens a lot more often in my gargantuan Anaconda. Drifts for ages until actually moving where pointed... Never really bothers me though; as others have stated, boosting will quickly correct for the drift & get you going in the right direction.

if you've been boosting / travelling at speed in a different direction to your destination star, and then point at your destination, then even with constant boosting now in the right direction it may take a while for your ship's momentum to switch to the right direction. In small fighter craft its usually unnoticeable, but in sluggish skiddy craft like t9 or cutter, it can take what seems like an age for your ship to catch up and start travelling in the direction you want it to.

keep an eye on the flecks of 'space dust' outside your cockpit, these are your best indicator of which direction your ship is travelling. You can't go into supercruise until these are going 'around' you instead of past you.
