My open letter to Fdev

Hello,
I call on the OP and his/her open letter. There are open tickets on the OP and his/her group for mode invasion and using lame excuses to perpetuate griefing.
I would like FD to look into this. Since the OP has so generously opened a ticket with ED regarding their groups griefing of Mobius, it jus adds more fuel to the fire.

It doesn't matter. on the first day we attacked Mobius players in the CG, I scouted it to see if anyone was even doing it. Over an hour I watched as T9s, Condas, and Cutters rolled through constantly. The cutter probably made 5 runs in that amount of time alone. Considering he had bare min. internals and 4 mine launchers, I would bank that he was hauling around 800 tons each run unobstructed. This is also unfair to those who actually try to get in the top 5 in open, who have to deal with actual resistance. Frankly, your just wrong. period. The fact you can't see reason and common sense tells everyone how pathetic you folk can be.

The fact that you can't read enough to understand Mobius rules or a devoid of any morals as to follow said rules. Shows that your thoughts are pretty worthless.
And if you believe that those rules make no sense cause it's a game. Than all your justifications for mode invasion, especially your so called "RP" point of view is just about as .
The fact that you do not have a common sense of decency just shows how pathetically lame someone can be. Thus I wouldn't call people out on common sense and reason as obviously so have no ground to stand on.

Edit: Please take your to the Hotel California thread.

A Cutter with C6 shield and nothing else can carry exactly 728 tons of cargo, not "around 800". If you're claim to be a proud Imperial, know your ships at least. Or even better, fly one. Oh, and I'm sure it wasn't me - I don't have any weapons on my Cutter.
Also, please take some time to learn grammar.

It has been made abundently clear on a previous occasion by Zac from FDev that joining any player group with the sole intention of disrupting said group is aganst the spirit and letter of the EULA.

Claiming some moral high ground is as childish as it is stupid, so please don't try to excuse your blatent trolling and forum flaming.

I feel some limitations in understanding the game. Especially in those PvP-Groups that are trying to spread some propaganda. I just don´t know if it´s intentional, or if there is any medication available.

People with your attitude is why the game is broken.

we did NOT violate the EULA... your "Mobius rules" have zero relevance. PERIOD
Let me translate that for you. Mobius operates on an honor system, and by intentionally violating that agreement you provef that you have none. Now, I know, that means nothing to you. Understand however, that to many of us, it means a lot. As I told Jasonbarron in another reply, where I come from, we call that a gentleman's agreement, and it means something. A handshake, our word, or a tacit agreement is as binding to men like me as the most vetted of contracts. Go back on that word and there can be consequences. We're one of the few states left with an active "fighting words" clause on the books as an affirmative defense against an assault charge, and we're in no hurry to repeal it. IMHO, we need a lot more of that in this world, in game and out, than hiding behind lame technicalities like you are doing right now.

Now I honestly don't know why I'm even bothering writing this other than a little imported Irish fuel and middle aged insomnia, as I doubt you're truly capable of comprehending it. Bottom line is that you're just plain wrong. Whether or not you have the wherewithal to fathom it, remains to be seen.

Good morning everyone.

Not surprisingly there have been a good number of reports flowing from this thread.

Please make your point(s) without resorting to insults and personal comments.

Thank you.

Yes but I never shook hands why should you be allowed to      with my game?

How about people stop conflating the invasion of Mobius with the lockdown? The two actions were in an effort to fight the CG, but they are not one in the same. I found the Mobius invasion in very poor taste, but the Lockdown BGS tactic was brilliant. Most Ive seen are in agreement with my sentiments. I would encourage you to browse reddit for proof of this.

The use of hamfisted magic wanding to undo player efforts should be denounced by everyone on both sides of the pve-pvp debacle.

Mobius got to use the BGS to "grief" SDCs home system. FD didnt blink. When people used the BGS to stop a CG that they disagreed with, they are given the finger.

So yes, 13th legion was wrong, but Athena was right. They have brought huge issues with the current system to the forefront and the issues are worth having a healthy discussion about.

I for one am disappointed at being told we can shape the universe with player actions and then when player actions shape the universe in a way they dont like they just flip a switch and ignore the players work.

Read more closely. I was careful to to include tacit agreement in my list, which you make when signing into Mobius. I knew it would be lost on many.

I haven't read the whole thread so this has probably been said. But:

Both sides can influence PowerPlay in solo/private if they choose to, if I'm not mistaken?

I know that might not be true of Fed/Empire only CGs but I reckon they balance out over time with an equal number of each.

Besides, it wouldn't be fair take away a good way to make money from people who prefer to play Solo. They bought the game, same as everyone else, and so should have access to the same features as everyone else.

I don't play Open because I don't want to interact with other human players. If CGs were removed from Solo, I'd be very disappointed as I enjoy taking part in them from time to time, but wouldn't want to sacrifice my peace and quiet in a virtual world to do them.

Cant you see the inherent selfishness? You want to participate in a COMMUNITY goal in an online game using SOLO play (playing alone is in direct contradiction with community) to effect the COMMUNITY, but you dont want other players to be able to effect YOUR gameplay experience.

The mental gymnastics required to think this way and even feel justified in thinking it are astounding. And yet here we are...

Athena used the BGS to shutdown the market for everyone. PvErs whined to force FDev to open the market back up. What Athena did was legit. What FDev did was not.

No, sorry, I can't see it. I'm still working as part of the community - I sure as heck couldn't achieve the goal by myself. I just choose not to do it physically alongside them.

I don't find it selfish at all to play the game I bought, which I did indeed verify that solo play was possible after having played WoW up until I reached level where it was group up to do this instance or that instance, where I quit playing. I learned that I had zero interest in playing with others. Elite is one of my most treasured memories in gaming, so yeah, I snapped at the chance of a remake. I was giddy at the first sight in 30 years of the rotating slot of a coriolis station. Even stepped into open in the early days only to be ganked with accompanying messages lifted straight out of Southpark. Quickly decided that was anything but fun and have been playing solo ever since. It still baffles me that to some players, that's some kind of mortal sin that should invoke the wrath of the gaming gods.

And yes, I take great offense at people who invade mobius to pick on those who don't want to be picked on, etc. I make no apologies for that because no apology is necessary. No one of character would ever look kindly upon such actions. That's just the mettle I'm made of, and I'm proud of it.

Actually, no. What happened was that as a result of SDC's actions, all sorts of people took it on themselves to show SDC what they thought of it. None if this was organised by Mobius himself, or by the Mobius group. Some Mobius members may have participated as individuals, but so did many others who had nothing to do with the group.
