Horizons Do planet bases effect influence?

So there is a war in a system and I am fighting in it.

I wondered would blowing up generators and stuff like that decrease the influence of the owning faction?
And does anyone know if planetports can change owner (I guess they do , but I just wanted to be sure)

I just noticed that attacking a base with a nice big aerial attack is not a crime.

(Loitering is a crime , but civilian guerrilla warfare is not)

I think, yes for the mission giver. However, in 2.1.0.3 or 4 there was a patch note saying that the missions were granting negative influence for the mission givers. That has supposedly been fixed.

If killing skimmers or generators doesn't negatively affect the target faction, it certainly should.

And yeah, I do generator missions from the air, too. Launching missiles at a settlement should ideally result in a fat warrant. Something that should be fixed IMO.

I agree.
I sometimes feel like if FD want everything to have ONE way of doing things and no other.

And that the fact we can not raid bases on our own is either an oversight or a bug.

- yes, planetary bases can change ownership. mechanic is the same for all assets

- untested if destroying skimmers/turrets lower influence of "their" faction like ship kills do. i'd assume so. it costs you rep the same.

- for sure gaining fines/bounties while doing so cost influence for the controlling faction, which is always the faction owning a planetary station + 100 km around it.

So, you're saying that if I'm trying to undermine a faction, it's good for me to gain bounties while attacking their assets?

Or am I reading that incorrectly?
