It was brought to my attention that the blue channel in that image was created from datamined files.
This comparison is hence not valid. We do not know if a Signal with these gaps even exists.
From what I was told all of the legitimate recordings do NOT have these gaps.
Still trying to find a meaning on those bars that are in the recording in merope.
I think there is something hidden in the other recording that I need.
Also about the Globe in the center, maybe that is relevant, a "spherified cube".

And, strangely enough, they both work together and serve different functions. Having one and not the other leaves us poorer. The thread is a wonderful way to keep the door open and to compile results (Thanks to Riz's hard work). The discord is good to talk out theories and hash things out, not to mention meet up with people to raid convoys!
Please...it is easy to solo salvage an UP from the convoy, ramkilling the anacondas first, while following the convoy with a wake scanner. The vultures and the FAS are gone after the first jump.
Don't forget the bug where you and your Wingmen CTD when entering an USS or following a wake in Wing. You risk loosing the opportunity going in a small wing vs. Alone.

It is still the same. Plotting route failed. Even larger surrounding is the same. It seems I will have to go back and to some othe part of galaxy.
Try switching to eco-mode. Sometimes works.
Strange, what's your jump range?
Did you try to area at specific distance from 0,0?
- The two vertical lines indicate an area between 30 and 60 degrees... I can't do the math now from (Radius of Planet) to (Meters along that radius-line) for this.
- also is 0,0 the Northpole? or the 0-Meridian crossing the equator?

ok thus is REALLY off the wall wacky but easy enough to test.
scan that "barcode" with your phone's barcode scanner.
Tried and still nothing. My ship has jump range 22.74 ly. Is it possible that not permit systems in that area have bigger distance needed to jump there?
im following the line thats going to the bottom right side of the circle and scan the area towards the equator
oh...one more thing -
so the UPs appear in Fed convoys. Presumably, they're getting them somewhere.
Do we know if the convoy just spawns with a UP? Has anyone followed an "empty" convoy to see if it's going somewhere to pick up a UP?
it would certainly explain why everyone at Merope is in the same instance - so you can follow a convoy without losing it in another instance.
oh...and a further thought - if the"grid" on the circle is a moon map then its a 10x10 grid. what if the "binary" bits are coordinates in that 10x10 grid? possibly left to right, so its in the same "direction" timewise as thr whole message.
the various other marks would then be registration marks so that we're looking at the right "face" of the moon when we apply that 2 dimentional grid. it woukd explain why the grid has a curve to it, but doesn't match "our" coordinate grid. its a 10x10 grid wrapped around the visible face of sphere....you just have to apply the grid to the right face.
I like this because it's simple, doesn't require external tools or expertise to apply and solve.

Pretty much the 1st thing I tried, couldn't recognize it. Guess its just not enough bars.

Yep, I've been staring at that for a few days trying to tease info out of it. I'm bothered by the seeming randomness of it, the width and amplitude of spikes varies (your drawing while nice normalizes them). So is the variance itself information or is your drawing (and one I had a few days ago) just showing existence the only real signal.
The bloody thing is there for a reason but I've yet to see any real suggested interpretations.
I haven't been out that way I'm afraid. You really need to ask Commander Zenith or somebody. You could try manual plotting, but that might end up with you having a huge backtrack on your hands if/when you come up against a bigger jump than you can manage.
well, maybe the unknow prob is the "key" to go to these "unknow permit" system
Yep the bars are just highlighted to point out what I mean, I see at least 2 different heights in there.
Then there are some that are just about half the height.

Hope the creator (GenesysGen2) comes along soon, with the new comparison he announced quite a while back.
I would also be interested what circumstances create the blue and what the red signal. Maybe the key is hidden in that.
