Wow.. I need your settings. I cant get his face so clear. Lol.
LOL , till now i coundl't figure what the was this part!
That's not a "blue disk". It's another ship and you're seeing the trailing light that is normal for ships in Supercruise. Looks cool when it passes you at that speed and then turns away, but it doesn't look "alien". Sorry.
I've been playing this for what seems Like ages and I've never seen that before. Who knows though maybe I just never noticed. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. That's not a "blue disk". Hello i just sat on the capital ship

This weeks news letter is not going to contain any text. There's just going to a massive Braben bobble-head (with an extra, extra large head), pointing at us going.. "Bwaa haa haa haa, Bwaa haa haa haa" on a loop. Then some guy will do a spectograph of the "bwaa haa haa haa" and find a picture of Brabans Johnson...
Nice work guys.
Those settings to get this claer picture could be the key to understand the UP Massage!
Do it....do it now....please
Sorry to disappoint, but they are the same settings![]()
I wouldn't get to excited about the Braben-goid image. It is clearly a test for the real thing - I imagine it wasn't really meant to be found.
has anyone been to check up on voyager....make sure it hasnt been stolen? lol
Now I'm curious to see what a UP would do near Voyager. They're like... brothas from anotha motha.
*Citation neededI'm not sure how exactly to make use of this, but here's another thought:
Insect shells are made of Chitin. Chitin is only material on the planet which enables an animal direct resonance with the electronic fields of its immediate environment*. This is one of the reasons that insects all seem to get into a 'rhythm'. The sound they are making is ambient with the changes in their electronic and magnetic environment. The sound is only functional to location.
Here's a simple example you can test this time of year. Go into into a field around sunset. All of the insects will be making a kind of gentle continuous hum. As you pass through the region where there are insects they stop producing this sound. The others don't. This creates a blanket of noise which they use for determining who and what is in their environment (along with a bunch of other stuff we as humans couldn't care less about). Crows also do this by creating a kind of throaty chittering on hot days that are extremely still or pleasant. They'll find some place high up and make that noise over and over again. This is another kind of that same information field. As humans we can sense it, but since animal linguistics is still an emerging study we really can't make a lot of sense out of many animal languages.
If you back this up a bit to the insects its quite probable that the barnacles are acting as the macro resonance source. These produce the 'song' which is unique to Merope 5c. Note that it is a deep noise that is mostly low volume. This is important for long distance transmission. Elephants do this, for example. So do whales. High pitch sounds are often specific information as opposed to a general SITREP that constitutes the majority of animal sounds which are continuous; especially deep noises. The UA and Barnacles are largely deep noises. Therefore the UP is almost certainly a short range communication of some kind in most respects with the deep sound being the long transmission.
This all seems agreeable with what we already know. The UA produces images of ships... so it is a surveyor of us. The Barnacles might be almost more like a life support system. They're transmitting geological and astrometric data FOR someone not us. Again, this is because it's clearly 'singing'. My guess is that this is just a passive SITREP. It's just a low ambient field that anyone with the right equipment on the planet could pick up. Since we're deft, dumb, and mute we can't really interact. Unfortunately, someone found a Barnacle itself and at that point we began to shift so we COULD get some of this information into something for us intelligible.
This leaves the questions of what the heck is the UP doing? It seems less passive than the other: built to an active role. By the way it responds from the ADS maybe that's the wrong scanner to use?
Have tried all the scanners on it?
Think Geth or Skritt:
1 Insect - not so smart
2 Insects - eh
3 Insects - getting close to human clever
4 Insects - "I understand time," says the bug
The UA is more advanced than the UP.
Now that I've re-read it. That is what we must test. But how? People have done pages and pages of things with the UA already. Or we must see if the UP can do more...

Someone go collect the morse code from the crashed human probes we find on POI's maybe theres something to be heard there too?![]()
about 50 odd pages back i suggested honking a UA with a UP in the cargo hold, as i had not seen that that one had been done.
