Hardware & Technical X52Pro assignments reference

Sorry for the OT post but is there a similar graphic for the X-55? I've tried a search but there were quintillions of results. ;) TIA!

You posh person you ;)

I'm on a lowly X52. Cost me 3 £ figures too. None of that new shiny X55 stuff here. Well, it wasn't available and I couldn't afford it if it was. Such is me ;)

I use the mouse for head look. Left mouse is activate head look mode, and moving the mouse around moves the view around. I do not use the mouse for anything else.

i migth do same since my button 19 dont seem to react at all either.

Check the X50 to setup, a lot of times clutch mode as well as button 19 used as a mouse button is the issue

Joy 19 (toggle head look) isn't working for me...what about you guys?

The default profile of the X52 Pro has the wheel button programmed to make a right mouse button click, instead of acting as a Joystick button.

Elite is expecting it to be a Joystick button.

Either rebind it in Elite by selecting and clicking again (where it'll change to RMB) _OR_ fire up the SST Profile Editor that came with the X52 Drivers and make sure everything is set to Unprogrammed or Fallback

You'll need to delete the "+ pinky" modes too

Save that profile, then select it as your startup profile in the start bar thingy.

Download the Smart Technology software. Free from Saitek website. Then use it to program the X52 to press the keyboard commands. That way you can easily program the X52 buttons to do whatever you want to. You can program Joystick and throttle buttons that ED does not see, because you can program those buttons to press keyboard buttons. Using the Mode switch, you can program a button to do 4 different things. You can program the pinkie switch to act like a 2 position shift so the 4 things become 8 things for each button. You can do a bunch or other stuff as well. If you use the Free Saitek Software. Cheers! :)
