Horizons Have FD improved frequency and variation of interdictions this week?

One thing that I have noticed in regards to interdictions is that when you outrun one of the NPC's (mine are usually Elite FDL or Anaconda) they have actually flown away, I have seen their wake signatures. Before they would be on you the minute you boosted back, regardless of how long they have been off your scanner. The new behavior is way more realistic that the magic instant interdiction button the NPC's used to have. Well, they do still interdict way faster than players can but at least they act discouraged.

Good on,FD! [up]

Now if they could just tone down the hyper speed, guided missile, suicidal ramming that some of the FDL and Ananconda exhibit. Its not the ramming itself, but the speed they build up in a short distance, most noticeable in the Anaconda. Doesn't add to realism, mostly to aggravation.

... i'm very rarely interdicted but when i am i never do submit as i find that a totally weird concept where people are basically saying "take me i won't fight for my freedom". I mean surely it's your ship and you really should protect it so why do you just give in? ...

actually, I submit so I can be on my way quickly, again. I don't submit to give in, I submit because it's the quickest way to resolve the situation.

I don't even change course, just wait for the drop, then make a slight adjustment if off target, boost, and wait for the FSD to recharge, then hit it when it does. 4 pips to shields, 2 to engines, and boost again when you can. Usually I have the countdown before the opponent has got their bearings and starts shooting. At worst, I'll get a few tickles on the shield without ever losing a single ring.

Often I don't even bother to target and check who or what pulled me. Unless the interdictor was silly enough to pull me when in a combat ship.... :D

In my experience, the minute you load up with anything, the "tasty cargo" starts. Today I was running stacked missions with cargo and faced elites down to some novices sent after me in a mission. I still run when too loaded down but I've hardened my Python with mods and I now regularly take down all elite smalls and selective larger ships during interdictions. The FDL, which used to be my favorite target when I had my FAS, has now come back to me (after running from it before mods). It always seems to pay out 200 to 250+k CR.

I have noticed that a few interdicters will not follow through with an attack. I try to see if we are matched, but not always easy. I look for help from the feds and then I'm usually okay. Last night I actually made it to the no fire zone and the Python came up to me real close with weapons hot. No comments or shooting from the Space port, so I went weapons hot. Like, "Hey you put your weapons away and a 400cr fine" The Python eventually went red and I started shooting and would have been toast except at least 3 feds were onto him. I heard one of the feds explode. Didn't see it, so I went in cautiously and was able to claim a big bounty because I think I got the last shot in.
There you have it. Experts in Pythons attacking Cobras is not a satisfying feeling.
Oh yeah, reason for post? No cargo at all, only data runs, but they always say "Tasty Cargo".
Also I see NPC's flying around at 10 to 100 times my system low wake speed. Funny that!
