Horizons Haven't been able to get a response from Frontier about a bug that got me destroyed

I'm honestly surprised at this point, it's like i'm purposely being ignored on this. I submitted a ticket on their website which said usually responds in under 48 hours, so I waited, for days, no word. so a few hours ago I posted in the bug forum thread here, and have had no word still even though newer threads have had responses. I missed out on that massive community goal because of this, and i'm really not willing to play again until this is resolved. a bug caused my ship to not respond to controls, which resulted in its destruction, which meant I had to use 3/4 of my credits to rebuy, leaving me under the cost of another rebuy. I just need some kind of resolution to this but i'm having a hard time even getting somebody to respond.

Never heard of that particular bug before, what controls are you using (controller/hotas? ). Was it just a dead battery or cable disconnect perhaps? Or possibly another program in the background causing the game to loose focus (windows update is terrible for this on win10)

I play with an xb1 controller and more than once my batteries have died and I've had to dive for the keyboard in order to not crash into a star!

Yeah... I think there's something else going on here.

I've had that same thing happen to me but there were definite reasons why.

-I used to play with three monitors. If I wasn't using all three in surround, I would use the extras for things like EDDB, Inara, Spotify and things of that nature. Of course if I click on another monitor I lose control of my ship and would have to click back on the main monitor to regain control.
I use a CV1 now, but still run into my that from time to time.

-I also had some wonkiness from time to time with a USB hub. But then you would surely know if devices are being lost because you would here the Windows sound.

So what types of controls are you using OP?

And what were you doing that lead to your destruction?
If you saw it coming, could you not combat log out?

I'm using mouse and keyboard, and only the single monitor, and I tried logging out, but I was destroyed before the timer was up.

I had something similair, when i played with a mate from south africa and when we mined, i could lose controle of my ship and just started drifting.. logging off stopped it. That was pre 2.1.

Just support a new ticket, the guys and gals from support have been awesome the few times i had something to deal with.

Hey MoarDan,

I'm really sorry we have not been able to get back to you as quickly as we normally would, it's been quite busy here in support recently.

In this case if you can let me know your ticket number (either by reply or PM) then I'll look into this and see what we can do to help as soon as possible.

Cheers,

But now I'm curious...

What were you doing when you blew up?
Did just just enter a system and fly into the star?
Were you in combat?
Faceplant a station?
Ram a cutter?

I may never know....

LOL @ ramming a cutter. no, I just loaded the game, clicked launch from station, and couldn't move. got blown up by an npc while I was trying to figure it out.

it's all good, no worries. it turns out I either submitted the ticket incorrectly and didn't notice, or my internet was bad enough that it didn't send, so I waited for days for no reason it seems lol, so I submitted another ticket last night. Ticket #00000128302

For future reference, if that ever happens again, log out immediately. When you log back in, you will be outside the station's no-fire zone and can figure it out from there :)
