Deep Recon X - Gateway

Awesome news. Every bounty helped guys!

I went and got a Ferdy to try out. Having to get used to a bit of speed again threw me a bit. Made a few bob in bounties tho so not all bad. Although it will take a while for it to pay for itself;-)

I was in a Vulture for some of the weekend. It did the job too.

I like the Vulture, just get frustrated with power management.

I also tend tend to fight with my face, so like it's manuverability. Getting out of the way tends help with staying alive

Windie, it's been a busy weekend and I'm not sure how formal a welcome I've given you, so, erm, WELCOME TO DRX!!
Likewise Tom USMC!
I know I've said hello to various new members in various places, but I hope all of you will understand I'm running around a lot to keep up.
I like to personally welcome each and every one of you. DRX (despite being over 80 members now) is meant to be a community, as well as an ED group.
Hence some of the questions on the roster. It's about getting to know one another (and believe me there's things planned further down the line that will make that aspect pay off even more!).
ON WHICH NOTE - Those of you who are, ahem, veteran, DreXers - you could still fill in the Roster Questionnaire (https://goo.gl/forms/p81j7O9ulJ0340eq1) because there are still some gaps (plus indulge us with the question about the cockpit item - think of it as the DRX equivalent of Desert Island Disks {non-Brits - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desert_Island_Discs}, it's a chance to give others a small insight into who you are, OR joke around;))

Trust DRX. Between us there's a wealth of info for you to tap into.
Right, CMDRs?

No.

Just kidding, we're all pretty knowledgeable about most facets of the game. I love combat and the bgs myself, but also enjoy the deep black from time to time as well.

What Cerinian was trying to say is that as a whole DRX is a massively multi-petalled, flower-like Venn diagram of ED knowledge (I think the centre of the flower is how to dock, right, guys? I think that's it...)
Kinda like this:

(Yeah, sometimes I surprise myself with my own ! :D)

SO!!!! That was an interesting day and a half!...
I don't recall posting a mission 'Find The DRX Discussion Thread'! But apparently even I missed that memo.
TWICE!
Thanks to a certain someone (you know who you are!), and to you all for bearing with us and finding us again....
(feels like the thread was Locked Down or something...You know like Diaguandri, or Shinrata this weekend...Ain't co-incidence a kick in the walnuts?)
;)
Welcome back everyone!

CMDRS, it's just over a week until 'Go West' launches. Please remember to sign up on INARA or let us know on here if you're joining us.
Those who can't join us, don't worry, we've got you covered. The concurrent, bubble-side mission will be announced formally as soon as certain conditions are met...

I'll be floating about, maybe more bubble side as a war is coming and the wing need combat pilots, if no fisty cuffs as of the start of go west I'll bimble along

Why is it that when I need my Anaconda it's 22,000ly away in Jacques?

I was playing Cobra skittles with the Corvette in a high intensity Combat Zone with my mate Mash last night... boosted into a gang of 7 of them who were hassling Mash in his Vulture and got 4 bouncing off the shields and spinning away to explode...great fun [yesnod]

I also discovered that a Corvette can fly around inside an Imperial interdictor class capital ship...zipped inside the big ring of the primary power generator and took that out along with a few thermal vents and turrets. Mash and I had the thing withdrawing from the battle as he took the last thermal vent out...

I don't usually do CZ's much, but that was great fun. The RNGineered niceness of the Corvette was completely awesome, I couldn't believe how much hostile fire it was soaking up... Multiple PAC's, thermal weapons, beam lasers, rails and Frag cannons... not to mention the mass of fire coming from the Interdictor without even dropping the shields.

I must admit... I have a new respect for the Corvette. It always seemed a pure toy to me before since I don't spend all my time shooting stuff :)
