Maybe it does repeat something but not the same thing..

Like a Fibonacci sequence or something, each group looks different but it builds from the last group, maybe you only have to decode the first 5 or so and then all the rest can be worked out from that?

It's presumed to be Asterope (there's a case for it earlier in this thread somewhere), but after a few of us hunted persistent USS's for quite some time and came up blank, there's not much else to go on.

I had some inclination it was Atlas, right near Asterope, but someone mentioned that didn't see anything in Atlas over the last two days.

The Obelisks have a certain pattern of lighting (up or down), depending on your distance to them. A pulsating with seemingly different stages. Is that already known?

No, the whole cylinder lights up in different manners, also - I think at least - depending from the angle of approach as well, not only from the distance.

Reporting in - Still out here in the COL 173 SECTOR suspected site 2 system - After flying around 3A for a bit, I gotta say it just doesn't feel right to me. It's like a small lump of mud for a moon and doesn't seem indicative of where an outpost/base/memorial would be.
