Speed...

So, out exploring in the Clipper when I find a huge land-able planet, so I thought I'd have a closer look. I'm currently flying down towards the surface, in normal space, at 2,105kps...and rising! :D

1.13Mm above the surface
3.12g's

Fastest I've ever been in normal space! This is great! :D

I'm just worried about stopping! :D

Going to pull out of this at about 500km above the surface, handles very slow at this speed and I'm almost at 2.200 now! Don't want to become a smoking crater! Especially in this ship, had her a long time and done some serious lys together :D

2.221...

Landing on high G planets is interesting. I was landing at a surface base in my Cutter when I noticed something was wrong when approaching the pad, looked down and 2.4 G, had to boost upwards to avoid faceplanting. I landed fine and 2.4 G is nothing crazy but it still caught me off guard.

Speeds are always lost on me in terms of per second it makes sense in game but for RL, *does conversion*, O.O

Apparently landing a Cutter on Achenar 3 is a bit of a rite of passage:

6.7 Gs

Got 2.446mps out of her! :D

Bottled it at 50kms altitude and it was touch and go! :D

Great fun! :D
Did you shat in your pearly white panties then? Analogy: was it like the first time you opened up on a bike to see what it could do, then promptly bottle it when everything seems to be at warp speed above 120

When I got my first sport bike, the first time I "opened 'er up to see what she could do" I ended up passing two cars going about 130 KM/H (75 MPH?) on one wheel. Needed a change of underwear after that. True story.
