What about multi-SRV, can we drive together with 3 SRV landed from the same ship ?
Have you not read the thread?
frontiers team isnt given enough resources and creativity to add depth, lord braben sets the development roadmap, the dev team are told to keep it very shallow but pump new mechanics out quickly for each patch of the season, and also told that they will be developing the same limited content but with lots of different shallow mechanics to sell as many copies as they can also for xbox and ps4. And this is where we are at, lots of shiny mechanics and technically impressive but shallow engineering outcomes.......
They need a content team to add depth but havent cottoned on yet this is what sells copies, and also sold millions of copoies or no mans sky (which didnt live up to the hype) but frontier already has the existing mechanics that could be deepened by a lot but arent
Hi everyone,
As mentioned in a previous news and updates post confirming the release date for beta, we've got a new Dev Update for you today from Lead Designer, Sandro Sammarco. Read on to find out more about what's coming in 2.3.

Oh come ON. What do you want, a 3-day waiting period to play with a friend? Are you serious? This is an attempt to let people play together, and at some point it's enough with watching timers tick down while being unable to blaze your trail.
1...it breaks immersion by going against the existing rules of the universe
2....it adds a Pay to Win element by adding pips
3...it devalues exploration, supposedly one of the core career paths of the game, by removing the travel and explore aspect
4...it affects balance by, as an example, allowing you to call for help and get a Telepresenced boost. We have the Fuel Rats...how long until fonaboost is formed?
5....it encourages griefing by giving griefers a Get Out of Jail free card with this crime wipe
6...Now I can earn money by simply sitting in another players ship and doing nothing
6a...Now I can earn RL money by letting others earn credits by sitting there and doing nothing
7...It sidelines Wings by duplicating rewards instead if sharing them
8...It constrains ship outfitting. What if I don't want turrets? Am I expected to reconfigure my ship to allow MCing and if so why is tbe insta crew needed?
And more.
Hey Rax! I've seen it... it's awesome. I like the telepresence aspect of it. It's all a lot of fun.
What kills the game is that everyone gets FULL PAYMENT for doing the mission or cashing the warrants. Seriously? So your contractor is supposedly gonna spend 2 or 3 times more credits for the same service just because you have friends as a crew? Nonsense.
Artificially boosting the payment like this seems far from ideal. I'd much prefer a multi-crewed ship was simply better, and so would kill ships faster or be able to tackle more difficult ships or wings that solo ships would struggle with.
The issues with that approach:
- NPC ships are generally unchallenging for engineered Solo ships, never mind engineered multi-crew ships
- If multi-crew ships are much better, combat between multi-crewed and non-multi-crewed ships could become very imbalanced.
Frontier needs to tell us what is in 2.4 already. If it isn't space legs, then I might just be done with this game. Disappointment after disappointment. If 2.4 is space legs, then they NEED to expand on multi crew in that update. I honestly can't think of ANYTHING ELSE 2.4 could be besides space legs and maybe some EVA. Anyone want to speculate?
Way I see it, they are laying down ground work for Season 3. We got the barebones of planet landings, the barebones of NPC crew, the barebones of multi crew, and if I know anything, they'll give us the barebones of space legs. Season 3 will add in atmospheric planets and Season 4 will add Earth-Like planets. All speculation
I do side with you though that some of the original planets that have since been edited don't look quite as dramatic as they used to, however you'll be happy to know that the atmospheric planets are much more likely to have very dramatic landscapes even as we try to stick within our boundaries of the scientifically accurate.
They already said spacelegs isn't part season 2, because it's a major feature. Horizons top feature is planetary landings. I think and hope space legs comes with season 3 cause most people want it.
They've expanded on planetary landings with each major update of Horizons. The multicrew and character creator are the foundation of space legs.
