How then do you explain the multicrew slf pilot providing the ship he isnt even on an extra pip? His prescence controling a fighter isnt adding anything to the main ship systems, or making those systems easier to use in any way.

One extra pip per crew member? I thought it was one extra pip period (which I think is totally understandable). Giving 2 extra pips when one is in a fighter is definitely a mistake; IMO anyway.
That is just awesome! Having brought the Dolphin to almost 32ly and having the Beluga at over 30, the Orca was seriously lacking at 22. This is great!

I wish the nameplates were free, however I do like the fact that without one nobody knows my ship name, kind of like a ship at sea.
However, you would think we would have an optional transponder that would broadcast our name and ship name, that we could turn on and off like a wing beacon...

Ok, looks like that's a lifetime pass no longer available
They are not paved in gold, but they do a fireworks show every weekend in some cities.

Your ship name and ship-ID appears on the Contacts tab, and probably on the target-holo on the main HUD, plate or no.
Or it does with NPC's, no reason it wouldn't on CMDR's as well.
